Sasquatch Pet Bed: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

At first glance, you may mistake these pet beds for the ever popular Crocs.

At first glance, you may mistake these pet beds for the ever popular Crocs. Now, the shoes themselves fill me with questions (how? why? who?), but leave it to Giggle to spot this over on Dlisted and give me quite a laugh as well.

If you fancy wearing this footwear – or your dog does to chew – you'll want (scratch that, need) a jumbo sized Sasquatch Pet Bed ($100) at home. Oh, and that lining? It's a faux fleece "sock" – does the addition of socks-with-sandals provide the icing on the cake or just simply send this one over the edge?

The Caspian PilloWrap is an exclusive product from my new favorite pet supply shop here in San Francisco, Chengoo Boutique. Luckily for those of you not living here, they've got an awesome online selection where you can pick out a PilloWrap ($59) (and other awesome goodies) for your lucky pets, too.
This handmade comforter is perfect for those chilly cats but, if you've got a hot dog, it folds up into a cushion for those travel times (or even a tiny bed for your small fries). Who says functional can't be fun, too?!

Awesomely Eco-Tastic (and Affordable!) Cat Cave

When I first spotted this bed on moderncat, I immediately figured the pretty product would be way over my budget.

When I first spotted this bed on moderncat, I immediately figured the pretty product would be way over my budget. However, imagine my surprise when I realized it costs just $70, not super cheap, but not as extravagant as some we've seen. The eco-tastic creation comes from natural banana leaves and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb in your home – makes me wish I had a kitty to pamper!

How Much Is Too Spendy for a Pet Bed?

When geeksugar spotted this super luxe bed on Born Rich, it totally prompted a discussion of how much is too much to spend on a bed for furry friends.

When geeksugar spotted this super luxe bed on Born Rich, it totally prompted a discussion of how much is too much to spend on a bed for furry friends. I think we can all agree that the $1,000-$3,000 price tag for this 22-karat gold thread bed is extreme (even for those who love spoiling pets), and it's not even close to the $24,000 that the human version costs! While I can see spending more money on a long lasting item like a bed, 'cause my dog actually sleeps in one, how much is too much to you?

Scan Bed: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Although I am all about providing proper and ergonomically correct bedding for North, I have to admit that the $1,000 price tag on this Pet Revolution bed made my jaw drop.

Although I am all about providing proper and ergonomically correct bedding for North, I have to admit that the $1,000 price tag on this Pet Revolution bed made my jaw drop.

The Scan bed does have its pluses: a reversible micro suede cover lets you change the look of the bed on a whim, and the stain and water resistant material keeps you from working too hard to keep it clean. But a whole grand and there's not even a Tempur-Pedic mattress under there? I think I'd have to pass. What do you think?

The dog days of Summer have arrived and I'm looking for the latest way to cherish (and cool off) my hot dog – I think I've found just the thing!

The dog days of Summer have arrived and I'm looking for the latest way to cherish (and cool off) my hot dog – I think I've found just the thing! The new iCool Pet Mats ($25) come in two colors (blue and pink), two shapes (rectangle and oval), and two sizes for those pets large and small. When I first spotted this product I thought it was a gigantic ice pack but, turns out, you just add water and an absorbing polymer creates this soft, gel-like mat to keep pup cool – no refrigeration needed!

Pet Beds For Modern Interiors

For the past few years I've scoured catalogs, flea markets, and boutiques to find the coolest and loveliest decor that matches my personality and home.

For the past few years I've scoured catalogs, flea markets, and boutiques to find the coolest and loveliest decor that matches my personality and home. But you know what was in the corner, next to my Danish modern teak table? A sheepskin-and-plaid-flannel dog bed.

If, like me, you're looking for something a little more compatible with your home's interior design, check out these awesome cat and dog beds. And since we recently had to retire my dog's fashion-backyard bed after a visiting puppy took chewing liberties with it (thank you puppy!), I might have to order one of these as well.
