Pampered Pals: These Creatures Leash Hooks

Leashes in a tangled pile by the door and collars curled up on countertops?

Leashes in a tangled pile by the door and collars curled up on countertops? No more with these lovely hooks. With a selection of glossily bright colors to choose from, there's a regular menagerie of animals featured on each powder-coated steel backing.

You may recognize the modern outlines from this very site. They're made by These Creatures, the Seattle-based company that also manufactures the must-have wall bowls I love. Peep a range of the wild selection in the widget below.

Koh-I-Noor Prime: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

I like diamonds and sparkly things as much as the next girl, but on my dog's neck?

I like diamonds and sparkly things as much as the next girl, but on my dog's neck? I'm not too sure about that. First off, my pooch is a boy and secondly, there's a part of me that worries he would decide to take a nibble out of a crystal and semi-precious gemstone studded leash and end up with an emergency vet visit.

For those of you with more girly pets or ones that perhaps don't view everything as a snack, the Koh-I-Noor Prime Dog Collar ($290) comes with the aforementioned jewels hand embroidered to leather collars and leads for the next big occasion. Is this especially nice or something way too special for your furballs?

Pampered Pals: A Bag Divided

While I can't say I'm a fan of the backpack, my shoulders appreciate any pet carriers with wheels.

While I can't say I'm a fan of the backpack, my shoulders appreciate any pet carriers with wheels. When walking long distances, it's the best way to tote a pet with minimal strain on my back. Even though the Trolley Bag ($178) is too big to vertically fit under the airline seat, I love the divider allowing you to pack two tiny pets or tote bowls and other key essentials under (or over) the adjustable shelf for other trips with just one furball.

You can wheel it under the seat slowly, allowing a pet time to adjust to the horizontal switch but at 10+ pounds, it would totally push most animals over the plane's weight limit — are you a fan or would you prefer something more compact?

Found! Bo Obama's Starry Leash

Lucky dog! First pooch Bo has a rotation of enviable leashes and collars — not only does he ♡ Obama but now he's showing off his true colors of red, white, and blue with a starry leash.

A White House staffer took the Portuguese Water Dog for a stroll around the South Lawn on Oct. 31 and I zoomed right in to find a pattern nearly identical. "Patriotic Stars" comes in collars (regular and martingale), harnesses or leashes in two lengths for $16 and up — are you getting stars in your eyes, too?

Floss Doggie Teeth With These Sweets

When you finish your dinner, you get dessert, right?

When you finish your dinner, you get dessert, right? Well, here's a sweet treat for the next time your furry friend gobbles his meal, or one that won't ruin his appetite right before — noncandy, dessert "snacks."

Pop a little variety in pup's toy box with crocheted toys coming with a couple lasting advantages. For one, they're usually harder to immediately tear open than the standard fluffy alternatives and the tight-stitches keep the squeaker protected from those tough chompers. Secondly, the cotton strands provide a natural flossing feature to clean between doggie teeth while they chew and suck on the treat.

Don't worry, they're too big to swallow but still a perfectly cute, sugar-free photo opp. Check out the other temptations in the widget below.

Would You Use a LitterLocker to Discard the Poops?

Those with picky kitties will confirm: it's extra important to keep the litterbox clean and also key to tell what you're scooping so you don't miss a spot.

Those with picky kitties will confirm: it's extra important to keep the litterbox clean and also key to tell what you're scooping so you don't miss a spot. But let's just say it's better seen and not smelled. Yuck.

Now dumping the clumps in the trash works just fine for out-of-sight, out-of-mind but maybe not out-of-nose. If you'd rather keep that mess out of your kitchen altogether, check out the LitterLocker ($30). To use, empty the scoop and turn the handle to seal stinky poo away inside a 3-layer plastic bag for extra protection. Refill bag rolls are $9 for a two-month supply, is this too pricey for you?

New Product Alert! New Autumn Designs From Bella Bean

New season, new collar.

New season, new collar. Switch up your pampered pal's walktime accessories and check out the new styles from Bella Bean. Each offers a coordinating leash ($48) if you like to go the matchy-matchy route but the patterns still function prettily alone.

Now I'm biased towards the Whoo Wants a Walk? style featuring cute little owls but the "North Pole" color combo of the Caravan model would be a great option to last straight up until that big holiday coming later this year. Browse the looks below.
