Smooshy alert, smooshy alert! Look at this adorable face. No, I don't mean Mario Lopez (although he's cute, too), but peep that brand new French Bulldog!

Named for Mario's favorite boxer, Julio César Chávez, Julio César Chávez Lopez looks more like a lover than a fighter to me! The duo already enjoys getting fit together running the stairs, and pop's ready for the responsibility that comes with dog ownership — as he says in the video below, "It's like having a baby that doesn't grow up." Congratulations to Nick and Vanessa, who added to their furry family on Sunday with a 1-year-old Siberian Husky named Kona! Picking him up at an adoption event in LA, the couple's not letting a little thing like marriage interfere with adding furry friends to their family already. Nick explained:

"I was driving down Ventura and we saw rescue dogs on the side of the road. Vanessa was with me — I don't make those kind of decisions alone anymore — but since I grew up with a husky, I couldn't resist."

I'm hoping to see a pic soon (and wonder how Wookie is welcoming the newcomer) but, for now, kudos to the twosome for adopting and for choosing a nonpuppy — dogs of all types and ages need love, too!

While she may be now alone on the show, Glee's Dianna Agron recently welcomed a new pal in real life . . . and he's a cutie!

Coming from the Amanda Foundation, the pooch is still nameless — but she's thinking John Robie, aka Johnny — since she couldn't recycle her (late) bunny's name. No matter what moniker she ends up picking, from the looks of it, the pup is already enjoying his new home, so congrats to them both!

Two is surely twice as nice for Oprah Winfrey, who announced her adoption of Sunny and Lauren on her 56th birthday show on Jan. 29! Both pooches came from PAWS Chicago — where cutie Sadie hailed from as well — and are the first Springer Spaniels to join her furry family. Oprah explains:

I did decide, though, to get myself a little birthday gift this year. Actually, I thought I'd get myself two. I want you to meet my two new babies.

I can't wait to learn how they react to her other pooches (Luke, Layla, and Sadie) and hopefully see them back on air again soon!

That's right, Martha Stewart has added to her furry family again and, this time, it's another Chow Chow named Ghenghis Khan. In case you forgot, Martha planned to bring home a pup of that same name last year, before the dog perished in a tragic propane explosion. As it turns out Franny and Sharkey actually got to meet their canine pal already, who's also called G.K. for short.
Even though most of you wouldn't give another pet the same name, even if the first passed away perhaps since Martha never got to bring the first pooch home, she's simply using the name she wanted for her next dog? No matter what he's officially named, I think we can all agree on calling out the cute we see in the gallery below.

It may be hard for you to imagine life before and beyond Twilight, but one of the saga's stars has a new love in his life — before you get jealous — it's a rescued Chihuahua. Kellan Lutz found a stray on the street, brought him in and now their happy family is three (along with his other cute dog).

Now named Kevin, Kellan said about his newfound pal:

I don't know why, but he just lay on the street and acted dead and all these cars drove around him.

Maybe he was just waiting for the right moment?! With New Moon still out and Eclipse coming next year, what's up next for this star is a trip to Arizona . . . furry friend happily in tow. Cheers to the new addition!

That's right, there's double the trouble here! Two teensy pups packed away in a celeb-favorite, LV carrier and just who do these cuties belong to? Heidi and Spencer Pratt. Even though Dolly and Ninja were presented to the paparazzi yesterday, they were carried for most of the way — a good thing, since the little ones have surely not received all their puppy shots (like Parvo) and should not be exposed to other dogs or outside dangers just yet. Here's hoping we'll soon see the twosome (the dogs) on The Hills this season . . . if they slow down long enough for the cameras to catch them, that is.
