I'm just a girl with a deep appreciation for the magic that takes place on field, ice and court, and enjoy dishing with other women who feel the same way. Oh, you do, too? Well, we're pretty awesome girls, which has got me thinking during this March Madness frenzy. I might be a little biased, but . . .
I totally think guys should date us. Right? We're each kind of a great catch. (Wink, wink.)

It's the road to the final four! Sixty-four college basketball teams are vying for the NCAA title starting today, and with just a few hours until tip-off, parents everywhere are scurrying to finish their brackets. Rather than turn to the so-called experts, you may want to turn to your tot to finish up the form! As AT&T suggests in the ad above, any parents that have ever entered an office pool can probably tell you, it's the mom who had her kindergartner fill out her bracket that usually wins. Whether it's the mascot they like, the colors of the uniform, or a personal relationship with the team (45 percent of LilSugar readers would like their kids to attend their alma mater), kids always seem to know best!
So tell us, did you turn to your tot to fill out your bracket this year?
This year's March Madness has been extra mad, and this weekend brings us to the final four. Watching the series with your family is a ripe time for reminiscing your college years and experiences at your alma mater. Do you hope your children will attend your school of choice, or are you completely open to whatever colors they decide to don?
This year, several friends and I started an informal dinner party club. Each month, we take turns hosting; the hostess makes the entrée, and everyone else is assigned a supplementary dish like a salad, appetizer, or dessert. Most recently, I was assigned the appetizer to go with a baked cheese and sausage ziti.
What to serve, I pondered, with a hearty pasta and a rich frozen dessert? The answer turned out to be a hot, creamy spinach dip, made healthier with the addition of reduced-fat sour cream and a greater proportion of spinach. Light yet indulgent, it was a nice, green start to what would be a filling meal. I can't wait to serve it again during March Madness playoffs.
