It's not everyday we see a celebrity with her cat — it isn't that they get any less love, it's just not commonplace to bring them out in public for potty breaks and walks around the block.

Except at the airport since, when travels include that kitty companion, out their lil heads pop. This cute cat gets a helping hand out of his Sherpa (naturally) at LAX yesterday.

Some pups are born into famous families — like Moose's son, Enzo, both of whom played Eddie on Frasier. Others are discovered, including Papi from Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Nigel, Ashanti's costar in the latest Broadway production of The Wiz.
Abandoned on the streets of Arkansas, Nigel found a temporary home at the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society before he was "discovered" on its website. Acclaimed animal trainer "> Bill Berloni said:

Nigel's headshot called out to me. After thirty years of rescuing dogs for Broadway shows which began with Sandy (who shot to stardom in the original production of Annie), I know talent when I see it. After speaking to the shelter about his personality I knew he had star potential. I predict a great future for him. He is as smart as Sandy with the right amount of Bruiser (from Legally Blonde).

The two attended the aptly named "There's No Place Like Home" dog adoption day over the weekend in NYC, and their play opens June 12. Check out more pictures below.

When it's time to fly the friendly skies, I say no dogs left behind! But in this case, one pooch is missing. Sad. Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery left LA yesterday with the snuggly Gigi! Their furry family also includes a brown Toy Poodle named Valentino, but I see he's not bitten by the travel bug.

What else did I spot? A Sherpa — the same exact one that Mickey totes his pups in (Leighton has it in green and Christina in the Legacy pattern). Lucky dog.

Who'd think that a picture of Matthew Broderick walking a dog would give me such inspiration!? While he and SJP prepare a home for two lil (baby) bundles, movers cleared out their house, he brought out the family pooch . . . and reminded me of three simple tips:

• No pets left behind With unfamiliar faces lifting heavy items (that could then fall), take your pet out during the packing and loading process. For cats, it may mean securing them in an empty room or carrier — movers can't pack the chair when kitty's trying to hide under it! For dogs, get a pal to puppysit or pop a pooch in daycare (I dropped North down the street when my movers relocated us to SF!)
• Keep it together Store pet supplies in one box or, do as he appears, and stick them in an empty carrier so you won't need to be reading labels or digging around for the goods. If you've got an emergency kit locked and loaded, leave that aside to guarantee having key items . . . not taped in.

I may be one of the few people who hasn't yet tuned into the latest Star Trek movie but, after spotting the very adorable Zachary Quinto, I'm wondering why I waited! Yup, resistance is futile. The new hot Spock was caught out in LA walking his cute pooch. Collective awww at both of them.

I'm noting his bandana fix (like others we've seen) but this enterprising pup also has a furry friend along for his lil Trek(kie) to the Final Frontier Silver Lake.

Well, she may have been kicked off of Dancing With the Stars last week, but that's not stopping Julianne Hough from enjoying a sunny day in LA. She took a lil walk with her Cavie cutie sporting his own tan twinset. Of a harness and matching lead I mean. Looks like he gets quite a bit of use out of that frayed leash, but pick up your own combo – there's a Puppia Harness ($19) and matching lead ($10) in a rainbow of colors for even the most discerning pooch.

No birds were harmed in the shooting of these pictures – after all, they're the well-trained professionals of Bird Island in Shenyang, China. The parrots, cockatoos, and other fluttering fellas perform heroic sport feats. From bowling and bicycling to weight lifting and tightrope walking, it's all there. If you've got a pet bird at home – maybe a non-Wordy Birdy – do you think your pal would perform this way . . . for lots of treats, of course?
