Do furry ad campaign stars make you want to buy the clothes off their backs? Montcler is hoping you do, since they have a few four-legged models helping them show off their new line of shiny jackets. I caught the ad in a New York Times portfolio piece on photographer Bruce Weber, who shot the high-end designer's new ad campaign, and immediately fell in love with the gaggle of canine subjects.

Although, I'm not quite sold on the shiny (and presumably pricey) outerwear, I have to admit, the ad was totally effective. I did a Google search looking for the Montcler doggy coats (which apparently don't exist), and ended up finding a few items I want in my closet this Fall. Montcler shoots, and scores, indeed.
Bare Bones: Raincoat Roundup
I can't stand the rain, North can't stand the rain, and many of you also have pets that can't stand the rain. Even though it's a touch early for April showers, we've been drowning out here in SF. I've gathered up some chic ways to keep furry friends' fur dry, like this full-on rain suit. Whether your dogs want just the hairs on their backs covered or maybe even a matching hat, see my picks in the widget below.
Holy Puffer! Mascot's Cold Weather Must Haves
I'm in love! Just in time for the chilly weather to set in, Mascot comes to the rescue with their take on Fall's classic essentials. Not only are there some pretty awesome sweaters and preppy-chic scarves, but these Puffers are perfect for rainy days on the streets.
These waterproof, all-weather jackets are stuffed with ultra-light goosedown to keep your pooches' body heat where it belongs – leaving him nice and toasty. But the best part? It's reversible! Where else can you get two puffer coats for your favorite Fido at $65 dollars? My fave is the red and blue number for North, but I happen to think the orange and black one would look fab on little Samson, too!
There's plenty more from Mascot's Fall line, so check out my other faves below!
Smitherman & Barnwell Risotto Collection (No, It's Not Rice)
Ahh, New York in the Fall. The leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and there's a hint of cheer as the holidays approach. This is what I thought of when I first laid eyes on Smitherman and Barnwell's collection of doggie coats. So chic! The company, mostly known for its luxury line of children's dresses, has expanded into the canine fashion market, and I have to say I'm liking what I see! Although there are no prices listed for these cute Fall coats, I'm guessing they don't come cheap.
And really, anything that reminds me of New York in the Fall is a-OK in my book, as it was easily my favorite time of the year. Check out more S&B pup coats below!
Let Your Sporty Pet Support the Euro 2008 Final in Style!
With embroidered letters and emblazoned with each country's flag, your pup looks like one of the team in matching colors! The first thing I looked for on this track jacket was a leash hole ('cause North's harness can make clothing options trickier) and was pleased to see that – and a fur guard! – on this zippy. Now if your pup has a favorite team out of the final two for (either kind of) football, they've got track jackets for both Germany and Spain available, in addition to Italy, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, England, and USA starting at $39 for sizes 8" to 24". Goooooooooooal!

Come PetMarking With Me: April Showers
North and I both prefer to experience the rain from inside a cozy apartment but potty breaks don't stop when the sunshine does! Because my pooch tends to freeze when too much water hits him, when he needs to go, I put him in his fleece-lined raincoat. Now I'm looking to spoil him with another because 'tis the season, and decided to ask all of you for help!. I've started out with this Seattle Slicker, and tagged it "April Showers" to start this challenge.
All you savvy shoppers and internet researchers out there, please help locate the best raincoats to protect our pups from wet weather and come PetMarking with me, by bookmarking your finds on TeamSugar. Don't forget to tag your finds as "April Showers". I'll do a recap next week of our finds.

Bare Bones: April Showers Bring New Spring Coats!
Spring is upon us so, before we get to the warm and sunny days of Summer, we can look forward to some April showers to bring us beautiful May flowers.
Since daily walks can get pretty soggy in the rain, why not get your furry pal a new Spring coat to keep her dry? I know I have my fave trench coat that I sport in the Spring for its ability to keep me warm on mild days and dry during the wet days here in SF. Of course North has his fave, too. Or so I imagine. This London Leather Coat ($55), for example, would keep him warm and dry from the rain or foggy mist that tends to roll in at our evening walk times. Thankfully, there are plenty of cute and totally fashionable coats out there to fit anyone's taste (your dog's taste, not yours!). I have plenty more in my widget for you to see when you read more
