What's cuter than a baby ocelot?

What's cuter than a baby ocelot? Two baby ocelots! These kittens, Viento and Estrella, made their worldwide (and adorable) debut at the Berlin Zoo. They cuddled next to mom, Sara, and showed off their vivid coats. The two young ocelots, born in mid-November, are absolutely stunning. Check out the double dose of cuteness below!

Gianna's in Berlin, First Date With Knut Coming Soon!

Over a month ago, this pretty Polar Bear made the news as the future romantic interest (hopefully) of Knut the cute.

Over a month ago, this pretty Polar Bear made the news as the future romantic interest (hopefully) of Knut the cute. Hailing from Munich's Hellabrunn Zoo, she's now on display in Berlin and ready for her love connection.

The 2-year-old gal will explore the enclosure of the world-famous bear, but they will not meet face-to-face until special measures are implemented. Knut's never encountered another animal since his mama cast him aside as a cub. A "canoodling fence" will eventually separate them, and if the sparks are there then this duo will join forces in one spot. Sweet.

Love Is in the Air! Knut the Cute Gets a Mate

All we need is love, love as Knut the cute is getting his very own girlfriend.

All we need is love, love as Knut the cute is getting his very own girlfriend. Check out this stunning 2-year-old polar bear, Gianna. Originally from Italy, she's currently in a zoo in Munich but will be joining Knut soon!

The famous orphaned cub lost his human BFF after suffering rejection from his beary parent, and rumors have it the big bear is now lonely and possibly depressed. Sad. Hopefully his new signorina can keep him company, frolic and play, and pose for (many, many, many) piccys. I'm already hearing the pitter patter of little bear feet — that's amore!

Knut's Still Without a Home, Yet Still a Ham

Say it isn't so!

Say it isn't so! Knut's allegedly up for grabs (or something) as there's been talk in recent months about the world's most famous polar bear needing a new home. The time's coming for him to find a mate, and there simply may not be enough room for him and a new fertile female at Zoo Berlin. While it's still uncertain if Knut the Cute's days at his German zoo are numbered, I bet no matter where this bear goes, the cameras are sure to follow. He's just so adoro playing with toys, water, and more this season (like his Polar Bear brethren around the world).

You know you wanna see Knut sticking out his tongue and batting a deflated soccer ball so check this out and more when you read more

It's Swimtime For Berlin's Baby Hippo!

Although it isn't Monifa (who's currently a close second in our cutest zoo baby of '08 poll), this equally adoro hippo is having some watery fun with mama, Kati, at the Berlin Zoo!

Although it isn't Monifa (who's currently a close second in our cutest zoo baby of '08 poll), this equally adoro hippo is having some watery fun with mama, Kati, at the Berlin Zoo! Born less than a month ago on Nov. 29, it makes sense that the yet-unnamed babe can already swim since many hippopotamuses are born underwater with the mom pushing the lil one to the surface to breathe, and even nursing while in there.

The Scoop: Knut's Caretaker Dies

You remember Knut the cute, right?
The Scoop: Knut's Caretaker Dies

You remember Knut the cute, right? Sadly this Polar Bear will have to celebrate his next birthday (come December) without his famous caretaker, Thomas Doerflein. The selfless German zookeeper that cared for one of the world's most recognizable creatures passed away this week – I've taken the time to honor his life with the bear in this slideshow.

Awww! Meet Baby Giant, Adolpho

With a name as cute as his adoro nose, Adolpho lives in Zoo Berlin (also home to Knut the famous Polar Bear).

With a name as cute as his adoro nose, Adolpho lives in Zoo Berlin (also home to Knut the famous Polar Bear). Born on May 3, this Giant Anteater already loves the keepers at his new home . . . and playing in his enclosure. Looks like the newborn needs no help putting his snout to work, sniffing the grass for ants, of course. Did you know that although these creatures use a long, sticky tongue and a powerful nose to catch insects, they actually don't have any teeth? Instead anteaters use hard growths in their mouths and muscular stomachs to crush bugs – whoa!

Because one picture of a baby animal is never enough, check out more pictures of the adoro Adolpho when you read more

Who's Cuter: Flocke or Knut?

Okay, it's a different way to pick a cutie fave.

Okay, it's a different way to pick a cutie fave. This time, I'm asking who you think is cuter: Flocke or Knut? To make it fair, I've included pictures of the currently five-month-old Flocke and pictures of Knut when he was just six-months-old. The two top piccys are Flocke, while the bottom two are Knut – tell me can you pick a fave?

Friday Mythbuster: Elephants and Mice

If you recall the film featuring this big-eared pachyderm and his animated mouse pal, you'll remember he wasn't too keen about meeting this rodent.

If you recall the film featuring this big-eared pachyderm and his animated mouse pal, you'll remember he wasn't too keen about meeting this rodent. Now, I'm not sure where the idea that elephants are scared of mice originated from, but I'd like to take the time to assure you, it's not entirely true!

Think about it. Picture the size of an elephant. Then, picture the size of a mouse. Picture the size of the elephant's lil' eyes checking out that lil' guy. Although pachyderms can smell and hear things that are far away, their eyesight is poor and their eyes teensy in relation to their enormous heads (that can just turn slightly from side to side). Furthermore, there's no scientific evidence that elephants are fearful of many animals in the wild, and it's been shown that the two species coexist peacefully in captivity. Mice can make their homes in the elephants' hay and straw . . . and probably don't even get a second glance way down there from the big ones.

The Scoop: Welcome Flocke!

It's official — this 5-week-old polar bear cub has been named Flocke by zookeepers in Nuremberg today.

It's official — this 5-week-old polar bear cub has been named Flocke by zookeepers in Nuremberg today. They'd already affectionately dubbed the fuzzy one with that name meaning "flake" and ended up sticking to it. This baby was rescued after mother bear, Vera, appeared to be increasingly aggressive towards the cub, picking her up and dropping her . . . and just days after another new zoo mother bear, Vilma, ate her two babies. Despite Flocke's young age, her international popularity may soon rival Knut, the hand-raised Berlin Zoo "orphan" that turned one back in December. I can't wait to see more pictures and videos of both cubs growing up . . . and wonder if there will one day be a love connection between the two?!
