She may be only 2.5 weeks old, but the San Francisco Zoo's baby François langur monkey is already causing quite a stir. Born bright orange, François langurs eventually turn black, but this wee October-born one not only seems ready for trick-or-treating and spooky Halloween hijinks, but she has also arrived just in time — and in the perfect team colors — to root on her hometown's Major League Baseball team as they play for the World Series title. Heralded as the orange and black San Francisco Giants' rally monkey, her official name is still out for debate. But according to the zoo's Facebook page, the front-runners are Scutaro (for Giants second baseman and NLDS Most Valuable Player Marco Scutaro) and Posey (for Giants catcher and National League Comeback Player of the Year Buster Posey).

Of course, Detroit's mascot, the tiger, also carries favorable markings for the season, but as some have noted, these noble felines also wear Giants team colors, if you're the superstitious betting type! For more photos and a video of this adorable primate babe, just keep reading.

Showtime is teaming up with Major League Baseball productions to portray the lives of the players as they defend their World Series title during the 2011 season. We had our own ideas for which actors could play the winning ball club, but seeing Linsecum and Brian Wilson as their quirky selves is even better!

Is a Red Thong the Secret to the Giants' Baseball Success?

Underneath his uniform, Giants first baseman Aubrey Huff has a secret weapon: his wife's thong.

Underneath his uniform, Giants first baseman Aubrey Huff has a secret weapon: his wife's thong. Dubbed the "rally thong," Huff has been wearing the red piece of lingerie since Aug. 30 as a good luck charm. Since then, the Giants have been on a roll, winning game one of the World Series last night.

Huff decided to wear the thong when the Giants needed a miracle (i.e. needed to win 20 of their last 30 games to make the playoffs). After putting the thong on in the locker room he said: "Boys, this is going to get us to 20-10." The company behind the thong also sees a winning opportunity. They've sent the slugger boxes filled with more thongs to distribute.

Huff is a good spokesperson too, explaining that "over time, it's actually gotten pretty comfortable." But the more important question is: does it get washed after every game?
