Once upon a time (yet recently), in a land far, far away (Thailand), there lived a macaque named Boonlua. Boonlua had a tough life and, although his story wasn't always a happy one, it ends well . . . in an adorably satisfying sense. Learn about the monkey and his newfound family when you start this slideshow.
Lil pets, I didn't forget about you! Now I know it's not the most stylish, but compared to the small carrier alternatives, it's pretty nifty. After all, dogs and cats have a variety of crave worthy totes that look like purses, but tiny pets often have those hard plastic cases only.
Doubling as a front pack and backpack, the Marsupack ($64) has expandable mesh windows for extra space and even a safety leash to hold him in tight. Snuggles are made easier on a reversible mat – cushy plush for Winter and a more lightweight material on the flip side. Just strap in to any car seat for safe travels.
After finishing his rounds on Easter morning, Sir Puff dropped by to say hello in our Pet Pics group. I wonder if there are any other rabbits out there who would like to join him?
Congrats to Sir Puff and Sheena for being chosen as our Pet Pic of the Day! Don't forget to submit your photos to our Pet Pics group for a chance to see your furry (or non-furry) friends on PetSugar! Need some help getting started? I'll tell you how to upload your photos when you read more
Ha! The soundtrack is really what bumps this video up from cute to sublime. These two just can't quit each other!
Call us crazy but we think the Alexander McQueen Spring 2009 show is tapping into some kind of perverse cultural fear of snuggly critters with his very disturbing catwalk closing red eyed rabbit. We don't like to get too pop cultural around here but we simply can't help it. David Lynch's Inland Empire Rabbits, Donny Darko's monster bunny, Monty Python's killer rabbit and South Park's Woodland creatures are all part of a strange cultural lexicon of rabbits and upsetting circumstances. So much for a cuddly bunny huh? All we can say is RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!
Sometimes it seems like dogs and cats get all the love with cute and crazy products all over the place! I love spreading the love to our other furry friends, and freely own up to my soft spot for rabbits I've recently met or known in the past.
I was psyched to spot these bunny yummies in six varieties. Although the flavors range from Very Berry to Tasty Carrot, the main ingredients in all the snacks are oat, brome, and orchard grasses – the only sweet difference is the addition of organic fruits or veggies. I can't resist ordering one of these take-out boxes ($5) as a welcoming gift for my newest lagomorph friend!
You usually hear heroic tales of dogs rushing to the rescue of their owners from seizures, accidents, and fires, but this is one story you don't hear everyday, and one that CoralAmber just had to share with me. A Melbourne family was rescued from a house fire by their pet bunny named "Rabbit", who alerted them of the trouble. How the heck did a rabbit do that, you ask?
The Finn family lets their six-month-old rabbit roam freely around the house, only locking him up when guests arrive. So when Rabbit was heard frantically scratching at Gary and Michelle's bedroom door, they knew something was up. A fire had been spreading throughout their newly renovated home, and was quickly approaching their bedroom. Rabbit's scratches got them all out of the house safely with only mild smoke inhalation. I know first hand how smart rabbits are, so I'm not completely surprised that these little creatures can be lifesavers! Thanks CoralAmber for the tip!
I thought that was a stuffed bunny at first, but nope — it's the cat's best friend. I love how they're approximately the same size. (Bunny's definitely a bottom, though.)

We've seen some pretty amazing animals on this site, from quite possibly the world's oldest dog to a recent title for balloon popping. I've found a few record-winning ear lengths and had to see if you'd beat my surprise at how expansive lobes can be! For good measure, I also added in some Guinness Record-holding goat horns . . . bonus. There are pictures, too, so see how you measure up!
