I've gotta start by pointing out how adoro this smooshy is! Angus the Pug – like many of the other smushed-face breeds whose eyes appear practically on the side of their heads – is at an extra risk for eye injury. The big, bulging eyes can easily scratch when those active pups get too close to something they shouldn't. Guineapiggin9's vet recommended these special glasses for her pooch (who only has one good eye now), and they strongly recommended them to us, too. She said after her lil one got used to them, he wears them without a fuss when they go out on walkies . . . and attracts tons of admirers! Found! Eva Longoria Parker's Pink Presents for Her New Puppy
Remember Eva Longoria Parker's new pal for her pet, Jinxy? Turns out she's named the new lil Pug, Oprah, and is already spoiling her with girly girl gear! Last week she stopped at Bark N' Bitches in LA and picked up a couple pink leather collars with bone bling ($29) and this pink "Monster" rhinestone skull hoodie ($32) in two different sizes to account for her quickly growing pup. Lucky lass, it looks like Eva's sharing her love for the sparkle with her dog.

New Puppy Alert! Eva Longoria Parker
Why hello there, smooshy face! Looks like Eva wanted to get a close-up look at your smushy, mushy goodness before taking you home! Jinxy (aka, the white fluffer, whose tail you see on Eva's lap) just got a new BFF yesterday when she picked out the new Pug puppy to be a pal for the other pooch. To see why I'm glad to see both pups along for this ride (and more adoro pictures), read more
Found! Mimi La Rue's Lilydress
Lucky pup! While Tori was promoting her new book sTORI Telling at LA's Kitson boutique, she not only brought along her family for support . . . but her lil pup, too. Unsurprisingly, Mimi La Rue was wearing a dress from the fabulous new Little Lily Spring 2008 Collection. Nothing less than the best so see pictures of the happy family (and retail info for the dress) when you read more
Cute Alert: Sneaky Pug
Sneaky McSneakerson here has got the whole "nonchalantly lie down and then steal bigger friend's food" thing down pat. The bigger dog is resting next to two Scooby snacks, and this punk-ass Pug cannot let snacks lie unstolen. The lesson du jour? Be careful who you take naps with.
Pug Wants Yummy, Yummy Yummies!
This dog surely knows what he wants . . . after some coaching, that is. I think he's asking for yummy, yummy, yummies – listen in and decide for yourself.

Benjamin: Pet of the Week
Nah Nee Nah Nee Boo Boo . . . I'm a cutie buggie poo! How adorable is this fella with his tongue sticking out?! Meet Benjamin, one-half Boston Terrier and one-half Pug, in other words, a bugg. Benjamin works hard accompanying mom or dad to work – they both are lucky enough to be able to bring him, so he gets to pick who to travel with each day. Chrissyeherman says that this spunky guy patiently spends most of his day on break by putting on this cute sleeping act to attract the attention of each passerby – then taunts them with his cuteness with that little tongue out gesture. How charming he is – congrats!
Now, since I had an issue accessing the group last week, stay tuned for this week's Pet of the Week coming up on its usual date (Friday) . . . and nothing would please me more than seeing tons of new pets entered in this group. If you think your pet is PetSugar material, visit our Pet of the Week group and post your favorite pet pics and stories. A new POTW will be chosen every Friday!
Please Help the Purloined Pug!
Now, when I first heard the story about missing Scooter in late December, I had no idea the twist it would take. For those of you not familiar with the case, this Pug apparently dug the way out of his Dallas backyard on Christmas Eve and when his owners, Rob and Kim Velevis, returned home from running errands . . . there was no doggie. The awful twist here is that, shortly after the new year, they received a typewritten letter (postmarked from Tulsa) telling them that a woman in fact had their dog (and their address from his collar), but decided to give the dog to her daughter, and included $20 to thank them. The couple is offering to buy the girl her own dog in exchange for getting their loved one back and have created this email account (bringscooterhome@gmail.com) for any tips. I can't even articulate how upset this story makes me, so I've included a clip of their heartbreaking news appearance when you read more
Pug Vs. Cat
By the time this oddly engrossing saga between pug and cat is over, the pug gets the snacks he so desperately wants, but does he pay with his dignity? (I love how the cat is either absorbed in guarding the treats from him, or so disgusted she just sits and stares.) Oh, the drama!
Screaming Pug Rocket!
Meet Miles—half Pug, half rocket. He's really noisy when you light his fuse, but once he takes off, he's grace in motion.
