Giving baby an unusual moniker seems to be the trend, especially in Hollywood. Parents trying to steer away from more traditional names, but not willing to go as far as Inspektor Pilot, Zuma or Bronx are turning to unisex labels for their babes. Names like Morgan, Charlie and Jordan are becoming increasingly popular to use for both lil ladies and lads. Riley took the number 16 spot for 2008's most popular girl's names while Dylan came in at number 26.

Parents often disagree on baby names, but usually they come to some sort of agreement in the end. Maybe you use the wife's idea for the first child and then dad gets dibs on the second. Either way, what one Tennessean man did to his wife and child is selfish.

While knocked out from her delivery drugs, Mark Ciptak of Elizabethton, TN opted to give his newborn daughter a moniker to support the Republican presidential ticket — Sarah McCain Palin — instead of the name they had decided on, Ava Grace. Without the mother's knowledge, he filled out the documents for the birth certificate and is facing the consequences of his choice at home.

I'd have a thing or two to say to my husband if he pulled such a stunt. Tell me, what would you do if your partner chose a name for your baby other than the one you agreed upon?

If you don't happen to be part of Hollywood's elite, who seem to be allowed to pick wild and crazy baby names, choosing a complicated or nontraditional name can insight all kinds of chatter among friends and family.

I just assume most parents are highly selective and thoughtful about what they name their children, so I always try and embrace new baby names with the understanding that it's just a name — and no matter what, the child will grow into it. Last week, I quizzed you on Hollywood's wildest child monikers. Jermaine Jackson's choice to name his last child Jermajesty threw most of you for a loop. While that certainly seems to be a contender for one of the world's most odd baby names, I've heard a few that are worth mentioning.

I knew one woman who unexpectedly became pregnant with her ninth child. Not wanting to have more children, she named him D'end. True story folks. One of my co–workers here had a friend named Abcde. When I asked how she pronounced it, she said, "Ab-sed-ah." Turns out she's not the only one out there as a couple of you have heard it, too. Harrison Ford fanatics may see nothing wrong with a couple that named their daughter Indiana Jones. As if that wasn't enough, they named their next child Dow Jones!
