Have You Ever Had to Tell Someone to Stop Texting You?

Stars! They have dating issues just like us.

Stars! They have dating issues just like us. The latest on the Jessica Simpson-Tony Romo breakup is that there was a cell phone skirmish involved; supposedly ex John Mayer's texts may have come between the two (you'd think Mayer would have learned his lesson about technology's role in a breakup).

I've seen more than a few couples have issues over an ex still texting someone, and last week, I saw it on TV as well, when Cole on NYC Prep suggested that his on-again girlfriend Taylor tell her in-between Lothario Sebastian to stop texting her.

Most people stop calling each other after a breakup, but the low-pro status of texting sometimes remains a tempting way to stay in touch. But have you had to tell anyone — ex or otherwise — to stop sending you text messages?

Do Tell: Have You Ever Been to a Pet Funeral or Cemetery?

Growing up alongside a furry friend makes her just like family, and it's never easy to lose a pet.

Growing up alongside a furry friend makes her just like family, and it's never easy to lose a pet. When the latest episode of the Bravo reality show, NYC Prep (don't judge me!), shows one household lose their beloved 11-year-old dog, my heart went out to 16-year-old Kelli who had grown up alongside the fluffy pup.

It had been mentioned earlier that Lily was on a treatment including steroids and acupuncture with two herniated discs, and they later host a pet funeral at a pet cemetery in Long Island. To see the rest of the scene, read more

NYC Prep Kids Love Clothes, Money . . . and BlackBerrys

Ever wondered what cell phones the Gossip Girl characters would carry if Verizon didn't sponsor the show?

Ever wondered what cell phones the Gossip Girl characters would carry if Verizon didn't sponsor the show? Me too.

We get to see what the real-life kids would carry through the voyeuristic lens of Bravo's new GG-inspired reality show NYC Prep. Although the dialogue doesn't crackle as much (these are real teenagers, after all), one thing the fictional show got right is the cell-phone addiction. To be specific? You only need one word to typify their cell-phone obsession: BlackBerry, BlackBerry, BlackBerry.

There was not one cell phone that got screen time last night that was not a BB; it was even noted by one of the girls: "I love how we all have BlackBerrys. It's like the typical New York thing."

Indeed, like Gossip Girl, their phones almost never leave their teen hands, and one teen girl even corrected her mother that she's not texting — she's BBMing.

What else is hot for NYC rich kids? Gel cases! White, red, grey, black, burgundy . . . though, no green, oddly.

First Look: NYC Prep

If you were up late after last night's installment of Real Housewives of New Jersey, you might have caught a special preview of Bravo's NYC Prep.

If you were up late after last night's installment of Real Housewives of New Jersey, you might have caught a special preview of Bravo's NYC Prep. The show, a "docu-soap" about real teens attending Manhattan's elite schools, looks like it could get me through a long and Gossip Girl-free Summer.

After all, this is the network that's brought us Real Housewives after Real Housewives, and this show could turn out to have the same "I can't look away!" appeal. These kids are rich, privileged, confident, and probably a little deluded — and at least one seems to have a penchant for Blair Waldorf-esque hair accessories.

The show's scheduled for another sneak peek on June 16, then moves into its regular Tuesdays-at-10 timeslot on June 23. Will you be making room in your schedule for this one? You can check out the preview episode online, or to watch the trailer, just read more
