Trixie + Peanut Pet Emporium was a fave destination of mine in NYC – and I'm always checking their website for the latest and greatest. Because those April showers certainly brought May flowers here in CA, I thought it fitting to feature their Organic Enchant-a-Cat Catnip Blossoms ($9 for 16). The hand-harvested fresh stems are extra smelly for kitties with high amounts of essential oils to provide felines with a out-of-this-world catnip experience!

Ever since I came across the Plush Catnip Birds yesterday, I've become totally in love with ItchyKnee's cat goodies! Even though I don't have a kitty of my own, I can appreciate an awesome product when I see one. One of my other favorites is this Wall Barrel ($70-$120) that attaches right to your wall, and comes in some eye pleasing colors and textures. They also have a floor version, but I like this one because it becomes more of a cat tree, especially if you stack them, like in this pic.

Although no one is quite sure why catnip has the effect it does on some cats, it sure does make them happy! My BFF's cat has been known to completely ignore us (which is unusual for the feline) while rolling around on the floor and salivating while he plays with his fave catnip ball. Although it never lasts too long, the few minutes he's under the spell is pretty entertaining for us as well!
