Today is the 50th birthday of the brand Bubble Wrap and also Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day! The common package padding offers quite the DIY entertainment idea for pets. In fact, this pooch is using one of my tips in that bubblelicious slideshow — cornless corn on the bubble wrap cob! It's super cute!

Even though I'm celebrating an inanimate object with the 50th birthday of bubble wrap today, it's not so motionless once animals are involved. While many pets are friends, others are foes, so find six bubble wrap related things you can do for both types in this slideshow.
With yesterday serving as National Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, I wanna know if your kitty was on board with the raucous celebration. While some people suggest wrapping the bubbly stuff on furniture legs and sofa corners to deter scratching, others use this product as a fun toy! Do you have a pet that looooves the popping sound or one that becomes a scaredy cat with that clamor?
My love affair with bubble wrap began as a small child when my parents bought something wrapped in that noisy stuff. I remember sitting on the carpet meticulously popping bubble after bubble. So, when I learned that today is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, I felt compelled to share this love with you . . . and my dog. I had some of the packing material stored for my next breakable shipment so I brought it over to North before I left for work. In his defense, he was still in his bed, but I tried popping it near him. His eyes peeked open for a second but he appeared neither startled nor interested. I tried jumping on it. No dice. Although his eventual look clearly said "go away," some pets (like Jack the kitten) love to hop and pop up and down on this DIY toy.
