I have Bostons on the brain! Maybe it's cause I live with one (which makes me a little partial), but seriously – is there anything cuter than a nine-week-old Boston Terrier puppy? Right now, I can't think of anything!

With a name like Puppy Love, what's not to like? The scripted anthology of 10 short films discusses dog lovers and the people who love them . . . or in this case, don't love them so much. The first film features "Maya" (Famke Janssen) and her cutie pie we recognize as Licorice (playing a pooch named "Owen") – plus very vocal friends sharing opinions on just what's coming between her and her relationships with men.
This piccy of Boston Terrier brothers Joey and Tanner reminds me of those picture games you find in the back of the National Enquirer where you have to circle the differences between two photos to win a prize. Except that this is just one photo, and two different dogs, so . . . maybe it's not really like it at all.

I'm super excited for the latest episode of Animal Planet's new series, Dogs 101. Airing every Saturday at 8 p.m., each week it focuses on five new dog breeds. Featured in the first show were the Airedale, French Bulldog, Labrador Retriever, Chihuahua, and Poodle. What five will we meet this week? Find out in this slideshow.
Can you pick North out of that picture? Although I consider myself pretty good at naming dog breeds, I'm always shocked by the number of people who get confused seeing my lil pup. He begrudgingly endures "I looove Pugs" or "What a cute Frenchie" at least once a week, but the funniest story comes from our days in NYC.
There was an issue with my tub's leaky pipes so a plumber (supervised by the super) had to come in to fix them. On the afternoon of the appointment day, I get a phone call from my building's management company informing me that he could not fix the problem and had to leave because of my (and I do quote) "vicious pit-bull puppy." Umm, yeah, that would be North. In his crate . . . and obviously freaking out because strangers came in and didn't let him out to play!
Trying not to be outraged at the stereotype behind the "vicious pit bull" statement, I had to explain to management that I had a crated, 15-pound Boston Terrier surely hellbent on "death by kisses" and go home on my lunch break to sit with them while they fixed it the next day. There's nothing I love more than a Boston Terrier (there's one in particular that's especially close to my heart, obviously), but two Bostons are definitely better than one! I bet Lucky and Jesse do everything together – like little smooshy twins!

Two of carriefrances' pack of pooches are mixed breeds: Trevor is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix and Zoe is a French Bulldog/Pug mix, hence the nicknames "Bug" and "Fug". They look like cute and cuddly little troublemakers don't they? What a team!

I captured the pictures below of North devouring and nursing his Tamago in the hallway and, as I'm finishing up this post, I can hear his claws on the hardwood as he tries to get a good grip . . . he's sooo into it. I peeked over and his chompers haven't even totally killed it yet! Yum!
