After working through a list of my favorite animal movies, I realized there were a lot of great films I couldn't include in the top 10 — from Homeward Bound to 101 Dalmatians, there are many classics I simply love to watch again and again. Because it's nearly impossible to come up with them all on my own, I want you to share your favorite movies in your comments below. All I ask is that there is an animal playing a fairly large part in the movie, and next week I'll create a new list of all our fave flicks!

Despite our debate on
whether showing pets in films is hurtful or harmless, I do have some favorite movies of my own that, natch, have animals as some of the main characters. Dogs, cats, mice, or an entire farm, I don't discriminate! North and I especially like to watch a few of them together on rainy afternoons maybe even
munching on popcorn movie style.
Well, not totally movie style! Flip through my slideshow and check out some of my favorite animal flicks. Maybe a movie night is in order soon?

Do you want to join PetSugar's street team? I'd love to hear firsthand about your favorite new products because I can't possibly buy them all – simply write a blog like this one and let me know what gets four paws up in your household and why you love it. First up, Karebear25 was searching for a great carrier for her Silky Terrier — and the third time's the charm as she finally found this one. The sling-style Joey Pet Pouch ($39) goes over one shoulder and the bag rests at the opposite hip like a messenger bag . . . and is perfect for those pups that like to be cuddled close. Little Toby previously hated his carriers – but loves this one! It's a one-step loading process and promotes bonding because the carrier allows him to be snuggled like a baby, but keep mom's hands free!
The Joey Pet Pouch comes in five sizes, based on the owner's proportions, to make sure the carrier fits just right and is comfy for you, too! It evenly distributes a pup's weight and works for pets up to 15 pounds – perfect for that small, calm pet that will contentedly remain by your side.

Q: I have a new(ish) kitten who won't stop attacking me! At first I thought Sparrow just wanted my shoelaces, but she even pounces at my bare feet when I'm trying to walk around the house. I've had her for about four months now, and I'm worried that it's getting worse . . . before it gets better. Please help!
A: It sounds like you have an instinctive cat who's always looking to play! Cats have natural predatory instincts – some more than others – that make them want to hunt out moving "prey," in this case, your ankles. Make sure your kitty gets plenty of playtime to work out that energy. It helps to redirect her attention with a toy she can use to entertain herself like the Play-n-Squeak product line or an Undercover Mouse which is a battery-operated moving mouse on a string. As the name most surely implies, when your cat plays, this toy squeaks. All Play-n-Squeak products include the electronic "RealMouse" sound module that quite convincingly mimics the real thing. The company recently redesigned and relaunched their popular cat toys for last month's Global Pet Expo and now offer a wider variety for all types of frisky kitties to use that instinct to hunt, stalk, and pounce on prey. They've got interactive cat-only toys like Batting Practice and Thrill of the Chase, in addition to Shake y'r Tail Feather and DangleMouse for you to get in on the action. I can't wait 'til these toys make it into my local pet shop – in the meantime, check out all their playtime offerings (or contact them for store locations) before their retail website is up and running!
We saw many different breeds at Crufts that we didn't see at Westminster and, honestly, even I have trouble keeping them all straight! Can you sniff out the right name for each pictured pooch in a process of elimination? Each question has three choices: a fictional breed name, the name of a similar dog, and the right answer, of course! Is there really a dog called the Xoloitzcuintli or do you think I made that up in a typing frenzy? Test your knowledge (and reasoning skills) in this furry quiz!
