The official presidential pardoning ceremony hasn't even happened yet, but I couldn't wait to share some facts with you! As part of an annual tradition, two turkeys (well, one bird and an "understudy") get a full presidential pardon — and the designation as the "national Thanksgiving turkey." This photo may be one of last year's feathered friends, but check yourself on the upcoming event below!
You know the holidays are here when the weather turns cold, there's an extra ten percent off at the mall, and you see random dogs walking around with Santa hats on. If these two are any indication, Christmas will be here in no time!

Cute Alert: Puppy Is Confused by Whistling I don't think the cute pup is feeling the whistlin' . . . it's off-tune or offbeat perhaps?! After all, there are other doggies in the background but only this lil guy seems to care. Check it out in a cute video!

Not as unusual as you may think, many shops will offer "facials" or "puppasage" – and remember that fancy jacuzzi? – for stressed pets. While my budget demands that I do this myself, if money was no object, I'd love to treat North to a "pet relaxation session" — what pampering would your dog or cat most love to receive?
According to the results of a recent investigation, it turns out that the largest chain of pet-selling stores in the US is also the nation's largest retail supporter of puppy mills.
An eight-month evaluation by the Humane Society of the United States uncovered that Petland stores are purchasing and selling puppies from horrific conditions despite promises that the dogs come from known breeders with only "the highest standards of pet care." Many hail from massive commercial facilities or are purchased from large scale "pet distributors" (read: puppy brokers) . . . and the company itself may not even know what the standards of care were like in the first place.
