I came up with the dorkiest idea ever. We're all (except Merlot, ofcourse) going to a Monster Bash that is very four legged monster friendly. So Viva is going to be tamago, egg sushi. Merlot, who will be dressed for pictures, is going to be salmon sushi. Bailey, my dad's pup, is going to be ebi, shrimp sushi. Allan is going to be a sushi chef and I'm going to be a bottle of soysauce. lol. I'm a dork. My poor four legged family and two legged boyfriend.
Black cats and Halloween do not mix. I am super-protective of my girls as Halloween approaches because teens love to take them and torture them around this time of year.
My sister is the same with her two black cats - no outside time for Miranda or Daphne in October unless they are leashed and being supervised. Some dude tried to steal Miranda last year while Miranda sat on the front porch cleaning herself and watching birds. The guy stopped his car with his friend in the driver seat and ran up to her front porch and tried to grab Miranda. He was squeezing her under his arm and trying to cover her head and stick her in a pillowcase while running. My nephew was putting out the trashcans and caught the guy redhanded. The claimed that he thought Miranda was his girlfriend's cat.
Funny cause Miranda has a big old collar on with a huge silver tag that says "HI I'M MIRANDA! I live at (insert address)".
When my nephew pointed this out the dude dropped Miranda on her side and ran. My nephew was prepared to beat the guy down or chase them in his car if they took her.
My dog doesn't tolerate costumes but I hope I can get one photo taken before she takes off her soccer jersey. PetSource.org is hosting a pet photo contest which is cool - you can win pet products and $1,000 donation made on your behalf to your fave animal charity. Pretty sweet deal.
Last year Axle was Batman, and he'll probably be the same this year, as he makes a great batman!
Newton will be a hot dog this year. Honestly, how can you have a dashchund and not dress him up as a hot dog?
I want to find Joe a mane and have him go as a lion, or I could put on a mane and horse's tail and he could be go as a Dog and Pony Show. (Which is funny because the dog is the pony . . . see . . . funny . . . oh, never mind.)
:dog:
B-Bop doesn't mind dressing up, and we usually do something fun so he will for sure this year! IT's going to be great, I'm making his costume this week!
