Would You Have Your Pet's Portrait Painted?

I love snapping photographs of my pooch doing just about anything and, admittedly, have sent out holiday greetings with North included. However, somehow I think having a pet's portrait done is a whole different ballgame . . . especially because I've never even had my portrait done! Costing anywhere from $100 (like these customized portraits created by Etsy's kyeliza) to thousands of dollars (for larger, mural sized pieces by artists that specialize in animal painting), it's certainly a special way to commemorate your furry friend. Would you do it?

I do pet portraits and other art. I am most busy doing dog paintings, cat paintings and horses during the holidays. There is no better gift to give or recieve than a piece of art that is very meaningful. yep...it was my anniversary present to my husband, doodledogpaintings.com it turned out really great and everyone loves it (and probably calls us crazy behind our back).
