Where Will Your Pets Be This Thanksgiving?

My November must haves focused on getting together during the holidays – it's a great time to watch family, football, and the food disappear off the table! This year, I'm planning a local, low-key Thanksgiving celebration that North can attend but I'm curious how you will be including (or not including) your pets next Thursday.

Miss Cleo will stay at home in my apartment while I go over to a friend's for Turkey Day.

We're leaving the them home alone for three days. :-( Last time we went out of town, we had to leave one cat at my mom's, and one at my dad's, and it was a pain, so we're going to see how they do by themselves. But my mom will check in on them, and we'll probably have a catnip feast when we get back, so it'll be okay.

Here at home, it will be Tulip's first Thanksgiveing with us. :)

We're bringing Scout with us to my parents' house for Thanksgiving...they LOVE her and she's so well-behaved that no one minds her being there. She always gets the turkey heart and liver as a very special treat, so she's always VERY excited to go to "Grandma and Grandpa's" house for Thanksgiving!

We are traveling, but the pupsters stay at home with their "nanny," -- she stays at our house while we're gone which is great for everybody! The dogs are safe and comfortable at home, Molly (the "nanny") gets out of the parent's house for a few days, and we feel good knowing everyone is happy and getting plenty of attention. And it is even less expensive than a kennel -- can't beat that!

I have to leave Aiko at home...I'm flying home to Florida, and I hate to drag her back on another airplane after the epic trip from Japan to Florida to Tennessee to Texas. My friend will be coming over to check on her and clean her litter. She's pretty self-sufficient though, with her automatic feeder and water bowl. I'll miss my little girl though...it's usually painful to be away from her from more than a day, since we're so attached at the hip. I know I'll come home to an upset kitty. :(

We're having thanksgiving at our house again this year so Mischa will most likely be stalking my mom in the kitchen and sitting next to my chair when it's time to eat.

Basil is driving 600 miles with us to spend Turkey Day at my boyfriend's parents house in rural Indiana. Baz LOVES it there, there's so much open space for him to play in.

I'm going to my parents, we're bringing 2 friends who cn't go home (they're from Hawaii) and my pup is coming to hang out with my moms dog. They play CRAZY together! It should be an AWESOME 4 day weekend!

Since I'll just be going to Thanksgiving dinner at mom's house twenty minutes away, Blaque & Boo Boo will be snoozing at home, waiting on the leftover bits of turkey I've promised them.

Since I'm only going to be gone 4 nights, my cat is staying home alone. If my trip was any longer then I would've called the pet sitter.

They will probably be at doggies daycare aka my parent's backyard. We are eating at my aunt's on the beach & has a kitty & no fenced in backyard. BUT we are driving to Okalahoma for Christmas with them :oy:

Unfortunately, we're getting our baby Brando a sitter because we're headed out of town for just a few days for Turkey Day. BUT, he does get to accompany us for two weeks all the way cross country at Christmas for fun with the whole family and everyone else's pups!

he does get to go with us to our inlaws for christmas which will hopefully include snow him getting to wear his coat and getting to hang out with his doggy in-laws

turkey day dinner is held near by at a relatives house my doggy will be staying home alone but mommy will make sure to bring him some turkey

Going over to my parents' house with me of course! I bought my puppy her prime rib feast, and got turkey florentine for the kitties!

Mahala will be joining us at my sister's house, as will her 2 dogs and my parents dog. They all play nicely in the backyard, except when one of my sister's dogs tries to eat Mahala's ears.

I'm with Vinnie.....my parents' dog will be standing beside the table, wondering why she's not getting any food. Then my dad will sneak her some ham, then my mom will get mad that he's giving her 'human food', etc. So funny.

My new puppy is so excited for Thanksgiving at my house because he gets to meet lots of family members, including the lab puppy my brother got this summer.

He will be home with us for Turkey Day, but then flying with us to CA for Christmas! Definitely one advantage of having a small dog...it's cheaper to take them with than to board them!
