What's Your Take: Doritos' Anti-Bark Collar Commercial?

Admittedly, I laughed when I saw this commercial on Super Bowl Sunday. The visual of a dog getting revenge on a taunting human hit home, but then I began to analyze the moral. Is it all in good fun or does it show that these collars are too cruel for a human (by his dramatic shocking) . . . but not too horrible to still use on pets?

"What would you do for Doritos" I know my lil dogs would probably do just about anything for some. Me....I wouldn't do anything. I don't eat them.

It is hilarious. I have to admit I have used a shock collar when all else failed. Thankfully after a week I took the batteries out and my dog didn't bark contantly. I know someone is going to say I didn't know how to deal with him OR that I was a lazy owner OR that I was cruel-- I adopted him from the pound...he was on deathrow for being an incessant barker...his prior owners would rather put him down than purchase a bark collar. It was exactly what this dog needed---and once he realized I was going to be there for him that habit did not resurface. He lived a long life as my companion. Still...this commercial is bittersweet. It is ironic.
