My three-year-old thinks that the two cats, the dog, and the goldfish all need stockings and presents. I think that's adorable and silly, but I can't afford it. I might give the dog a bone on Christmas Eve night, and tell the kid that Santa gave the dog a bone to make her be quiet. Then again, I might not.
