So sad to think of how many shelter pets spend a large portion of their life living at the shelter. I've seen dogs that have spent over 2 years at the shelter waiting for their forever home. Or puppies that grew up at the shelter and have never known what a home is. Makes me so sad - I wish more people considered adopting a pet first before looking for that purebred puppy.
