Although these pooches have been popular as far back as ancient Roman times, the name Beagle is assumed to come from the French word, bégueule, meaning "gaped throat." With all the howling, baying, and barking that these vocal dogs do, I'm not surprised!

I caught this episode while flipping channels one night and I thought it was great. I could totally see Lulu when they talked about Bichon Frise. I'm waiting for the Yorkie description since that is Lulu's other half.

I love this show. I'm addicted to it like I was to my complete book of dog breeds that I used to read. I think this show is one of the best ways for people to learn about breeds and which dogs will enhance their lives best. And which dog they are best for.
