Shooey Chewie: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

The name says it all, but that's kinda what scares me! With an embedded rope toy for fetch and tug, Shooey Chewie ($16) looks suspiciously like the sole of my galoshes. Although North hates shoes, some people (like LC) have pups that enjoy eating footwear. Would you pick this up or be concerned that it may make Fido chomp your boots, too?

why not? it won't smell like your shoes, won't be hidden in your shoe rack, basically have nothing in common with the footwear they are not supposed to have. I don't think my dog would know that it is part of a shoe. I saw these at LL Bean this weekend but thought she'd still chew through it an leave it all over the living room.

I wouldn't want to give me dog a toy that looks like something I don't want him to chew on. Cute idea but nope not for me.

No way. Looks too much like the flip flops that Sadie loves to chew on. Oh well, they are the only thing she chews...and only when I am not at home!

It's cute, but there's no way I'd get it for Logan! We're trying to get him to stop stealing our shoes - it just wouldn't be fair to give him one to play with.

I feel like this is a bad idea to teach them to chew on shoes! How do they know the difference between this toy and the real deal? I'm so glad b-bop doesn't care about eating shoes. He only did it once as a puppy then never again. Now underwear? That's a different story
