I know I'm not the only person on the planet with a phone book. (Right?!) If you're not sure where your local Humane Society or animal shelter is, look in the Yellow Pages there (or online) for contact info. The larger organizations have websites — a quick search of the ASPCA NYC found several furry faces I can pick out as purebred!

Small dogs are easier accomadated by major hotels we are able to have our shih tzu (7 yrs old)in our room at the FOUR SEASONS hotel..he is very well behaved and i bring his food and some treats with us. We take him out twice/day for potty walks and all seems fine..BUT he is not an ALPHA MALE and is rather shy but friendly.
