Pet Pic of the Day: Do You Know What Kind of Dog Dante Is?

Updated 09/21/09 7:34 PM · Posted by PetSugar · 20 comments

Buon giorno, Dante! This cutie pie is only three months old but years ahead of his chronological age on the cuteness scale. Beloved pet of kutekitkat04, the dog's a three-month-old lab mix rescued from the Houston SPCA – they think he may also be part Blue Heeler or Pit Bull, what do you think he's mixed with?

Check out dapper Dante in a gallery when you read more.

Congrats to Dante and kutekitkat04 for being chosen as our Pet Pic of the Day! You can submit your favorite photos to the Pet Pics group, too! You might just see your pampered pet on the pages of PetSugar!

I don't see the Australian Cattle Dog in him but I agree with JGasia and Baltimoregal about the Catahoula and Pit mix

If you really want to know, try the canine dna test (http://www.canineheritage.com/). Saw it on Martha Stewart. Very cool but expensive.
True, Kang. I found out that my lab/pit has some Shar Pei in her! Explains why she's so guarding of me and my yard. I didn't do the test but one of her siblings' parents did.

I definitely see some pitt or staffordshire, but his markings look like they could be Catahoula Leopard Dog

My boyfriend and I just recently adopted a pup from a local shelter, who truely looks IDENTICAL to this. I was searching to see what our pup may be a mix of. He's obviously got lab in him too, but the shelter said he was part australian shepherd too. My boyfriend thinks he might be blue heeler instead, but either way, we have both got ourselves ADORABLE pups!
