How Long Are Those Walkies?

While sometimes my pup gets a quick walkie around the block, other times we take a more leisurely stroll. I like to keep his daily walk time pretty consistent – except on weekends when he's a bit more spoiled – and make sure he gets adequate exercise. Can you total up the average number of minutes your pup spends on a leash on a typical day? If you've got more details to add, share in your comments below!

It depends on the weather. We (my dad or I) take Zena anywhere from a mile to two mile walks, however many minutes that is.

i have a walker for max..she talks him for a 30 minute walk and then i'll usually take him for another 20 minute walk..on the wknds we'll go out for longer walks, for an hour or an hour and a half..

Sadie Grace's daily walks are short, but about 4 times a day. She is terrified by people, so she gets easily freaked out and pulls toward home. She does go to the dog park at least twice a week for a couple of hours each.

Our walks or runs are usually 30 minutes and longer on the weekend. We usually take her to an open clearing near our home and run her, which she loves. Plus, she likes to chase us so DH and I usually spend the entire 30 minutes running with her. Great exercise for all of us!

I would really love to know if anyone has recommendations. My pup gets 15-30 minutes twice a day, depending on weather. he's a small dog- he's a 5 month old and about 8 pounds right now. He should be 10-15 when he's fully grown. PM me if you have some thoughts, please? :)

I try to do at least 20 minutes every night with my dachshund, but if it's too cold/hot outside or Ladybird gets winded or spooked, we usually go home early. On the weekends she gets 25-30 minute walks.

Bavaria gets a 10-20 minute walk after I get home from work, since she is locked inside all day. :( but she enjoys her walks!

Jasper, my 6 month old Golden Retriever gets a 45 min walk before work and a 45 min walk after work. In the morning my boyfriend strolls him, but on my shift we power walk or jog. On the weekends we usually get out for longer walks/ hikes and he is allowed to really "run-it-out" in a vacant tennis court. If we worked closer to home or had money we would walk/get a dog walker for the middle of the day.

They both get two walks a day each about 45 min. one from my husband in the moring and one from me in the afternoon.

Angus has to keep his walks quick since he gets out of breath pretty quick with that smooshy face, but when its cooler out, his walks are a little longer.

Brando gets at least one 30-40 minute walk a day, sometimes two. On the weekends he gets one upwards of an hour. And he's still got bundles of energy to spare!

Netwon gets walked every morning for 10 - 20 minutes, depending on the weather, and how awake I am. On the weekends we go for an hour to 3 hour walk, again, depending on the weather, and where we are. If we go to the mountains, we usually go on a 2 hour hike, and then Newton deson't move for the rest of the week! Haha! He also gets alot of excerise each day at daycare.

I usually walk my Boston abut 25 minutes a day. Lately, we've been walking a bit less because the temperatures have been in the 90s here. Needless to say, he gets frequent water breaks.
