PetSugar Q+A: Do Electronic or Ionic Pest Control Devices Work?

Ahh, an ever-tricky situation as an anonymous PetSugar reader poses this question to the PetSugar Q + A group:

Majorly freaking out over a mouse! I don't have the heart or stomach for traps, has anyone used any of the electric deterrents?

Yes! I had great luck with the electronic noise-emitting things... You just have to make sure to get enough of them, because the sound waves don't travel around corners. They kept the mice out of my kitchen and contained to the garage very well (I didn't put any in the garage because I didn't mind the mice being in there) and they're pretty cheap considering how long they last. Obviously, don't use them if you have hamsters or other small pets as it will torture them (and they don't have the option of hiding in the garage).

I tried a few bfore i found one that truly worked. I have used the Pest Offense for over 2 years now...the same unit. I found it on their website at www.pestoffense.com but I just recently saw it cheaper at walMart. I love it because there are no chemicals or pesticides so it is safe around my son who has asthma and our pets. i have not sprayed in my apartment in over two years
