Being as I have 3 short haired cats, I'd have to say short hair. But, I really do think that long haired kitties are absolutely beautiful! Just don't tell my kids. :]
I'm a total dog person, but I've loved every Persian I've ever met. So, if I were to ever get a cat I would get a longhaired.
I wondered the same thing, Renees3. just saying ;)
i love my longhaired kitty but next time i think a short haired one will be better. the brushing maintanance is high and the hairballs are too many - yuck! poor kitty!
I said both because I have both! But the grooming for my long haired kitty is fairly annoying because he hates being brushed! I can never get one near him, so now he's starting to get clumps in his fur and becoming a not so pretty kitty. D:
I grew up with both and love both, though I have a soft spot for longhaired cats.
My own cat is a Norwegian Forest Cat, and he has the most personable and gentle temperament..not the most graceful creature, mind you (BAM! CRASH! SPLAT!) but sweet.
Longhairs have their own issues...fur and furballs for instance, but they are charming, even if they do not always possess the dynamism and zest of shorties.
I have 2 long-haired and one short. The only downfall with long-haired kitties is that they are more maintenance and they spew the gnarliest hairballs! Ack!
I love all cats (and dogs!, but I really couldn't imagine living without a Persian. I've rescued four in my life and have been hooked on the breed since my first little shovelhead. They are a lot of work, but so worth it! :)
I love all kitties, but the longhaired ones need a lot of extra brushing and hairball prevention. I had a Persian when I was a kid and I had to brush him all the time so his fur wouldn't get matted.
Renees3 and I think the opposite just like pop has polls adout celebs whether you like them or not, and one of the options here was neither, just saying
In my personal opinion, in a blog about liking something saying it's ugly and annoying IS being negative, honest or not. It asked which you liked better, not why you hate them. I'm all for free speech, I just don't understand why people bother commenting on things like this when it's obviously not something you care about. The reason I like the sugar sites over others is because they aren't usually like that.
The only cat I ever had was short haired, so that's what I picked. But I don't understand why people feel the need to be negative. Why would you feel the need to include yourself in a post that you obviously care nothing about?
