Do You Massage Your Pets?

Once you figure out the basics of pet massage your furry friend will be in for a treat. Not only is touching your pet gingerly a great way to bond, but it's an effective way for you to help relieve your cat or dog's stress and check his or her body for lumps, bugs or irritations.

I used to massage my dog's back...like on both sides of his spine (hard to explain). But he LOVED it! :) It was incredibly cute.

Bella loves it and will flip over and "assume the position" (legs splayed and arms over her head so that I can rub her armpit muscles lol, she gets this Zen look on her face and i'm pretty sure I look the same way when then massage therapist wakes me up too.

sometimes I rub his back and neck. He prefers more of a scratchy rub then a massagey rub

I massage Bubba's neck and back and paws when he is the mood.

I do it to calm Fuji down. It also helps me find the bumps and such on his body.

Absolutely! Oliver loves to have his "armpits," legs, and belly massaged. If I rub the top of his tail at the base, it kicks in an involuntary reflex where Oliver's tongue shoots out of his mouth and swirls around until I stop! :D
