Cue the scene, it's Sunday night. The lights are out and you're snuggled up in bed, thinking about anything but Monday morning. As you lie there trying to fall asleep, you hear a little noise . . . then another . . . then it gets louder. Depending on your household, it can be a squeaker, a bell, a rattle, but you realize your furry friend has unearthed a noisy toy, and selected this very moment to play with his discovery. Sound familiar?

I keep both of my doggies in their crates when I'm not home and when it is time for bed. Keeps them safe and my belongings safe. They love their crates and willingly go in there when they get tired or feel like they just need some space.
Playtime is done when our dog goes out for her last walk, so, all of her toys get put away.
My cat has lost most of her jingle balls under my dresser and can't get to them. So she'll spend a good portion of the night trying to get to them. I have this squeaky mouse that dangles from the door. I always rig that up at night so it won't drive me mad. If she does start playing with something that wakes me up, I'll get out of bed and snatch it from her.
The squeakers aren't the problem because they get destroyed within hours of introduction. But Chloe makes so much noise as she "grooms" her furry toys that I put them away if I'm trying to sleep.
My dog, Bree, has her own bed time, usually around 10 PM. If it gets any later, she starts to walk back and forth from the stairs to us. That's when we know its time to "tuck her in" to her crate. She is the best toddler puppy ever!
Ahem, the Slingshot Action Mr. Chicken gets put away. Apparently, my mom hates hearing it scream "COCKLE-DOODLE-DOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" I find it quite hilarious.
what about a "No - I don't need to" choice?? My dogs LOVE squeeky toys, but they know that once we go to bed its bed time and no more noise. We've never had this problem.
oh and did I mention that if we stay up later then their typical bed time. They will put themselves to bed, not to be bothered with??
My dog sleeps in his snuggly camper. He'll go in there voluntarily when he wants to be left alone or is really tired. So I never hear toys at night, thank god!
my mom gave our dog a stuffed monkey that plays really loud Christmas music when he hits the right spot! That drives us nuts and we hide it occasionally even during the day! But (our pup) Runkle sleeps in the bed with us and doesn't get out of it once we bring him in so thankfully we don't have to wake up to squeaking or music!
I don't hide any toys at night. Neither of my dogs want to play if the humans are asleep.
I'm with 7, 8, and 11! My pup knows when it's bedtime. She stays in bed until it's time to get up too so no toy problems for me!
Only the squeaky toys after 10:30pm.
Just the mouse that makes this high pitch squealing noise when you move it around...
We have no need. Baxter has never woken us up with a toy. I guess I'm lucky!
The dogs sleep in their crates at night but if I could take my hamsters wheel out of his cage I so would, it's squeak is so loud.
