Baby steps, baby bird, baby steps. This African Crowned Crane was born with tiny curled up claws for feet, which made walking very difficult. Luckily for the chickie, keepers at the Paradise Park in Hayle in Cornwall, England created wee slippers to make the bird stand tall again.

The small bandage-style wraps went on the curled toes to help straighten them out. Now keepers can lead the lil one on walks around the park to strengthen its legs. Peep the journey in the gallery below!
