Antlerz Dog Chew: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Those aren't sticks, check out Antlerz ($19-$49), actual antlers shed naturally by actual deer. Outdoorsy company, Orvis, collects, cuts and cleans these real horns before packaging into a nonsplintering, eco-tastic dog toy for pups that have seen enough of the rubber and the plush. Would you spring for such a thing or is it a tad too lifelike for your liking?

My dad gave my puggle pup a set of deer antlers about a year and a half ago. Gatsby loves them and chews on them often. They don't smell or splinter and are great for his teeth.

I love this idea! I have a little shih tzu right now who cant get her mouth on many kinds of bones right now, but I will definitely keep these in mind for when I adopt a bigger dog. Nothing like naturally shed antlers.

I think its a great idea! Its all natural (have you seen some of the "chews" out there or the additive put in a lot of rawhides?), they are animal friendly (if you don't like the idea of skin and bones, this is a great alternative because its antlers deer naturally shed, no killing involved) and they are non-splitering (which a lot of bones do!). When I get my next pup I'm def. buying these.

i don't think they would smell, yoga. i have a lot of deer hunter friends and i don't think i've ever seen a stinky antler. although who knows what would happen once a dog starts gnawing on it.

Do they smell? I tried buying those cow hoofs or pig ears and they stunk when the dogs chewed them besides me being a little grossed out at the thought of what they were chewing.
