Our hearts just about busted from cuteness overload when we watched a kitten meet a hedgehog for the first time, which makes this pet friendship between a pup and a hedgie mind-blowingly adorable. Stop what you're doing, and watch this sweet video. Seriously.
Last week we challenged you to share creative pictures of your pets, and we loved seeing all the arty snaps. There was tough competition, but this expressive pic of a kitty looking down from high above was hard to pass up. Taken from a unique angle, the composition pulls the eye straight to the crossed-paws cat that's totally at ease while having his portrait snapped. Here's what Instagram user couxcoux had to say about this pic:
"Floyd #kitty #fluffer #proper."
Floyd most definitely is a fluffer.
Keep taking pictures of your adorable pets, uploading them to Instagram, remembering to tag them with #POPSUGARPets, and next Thursday we'll share another favorite from the week. And keep an eye out for upcoming Instagram challenges! Don't forget to follow POPSUGAR Pets on Instagram for pet inspiration and cute pictures of our favorite furry friends.
Good job, Bub — the Internet's most beloved space kitty has finally delivered her verdict on one of the most epic boy band rivalries of all time! And then the moment of truth. Lil Bub played a frisky game of "Celebrity Catnip," where she had to choose between some classic famous human matchups — does Lil Bub prefer One Direction or The Wanted? Find out!

Fashion Week is a flurry of activity with models undergoing transformations at every turn, changing up their hair, makeup, and designer duds. In the wild, a similar metamorphosis is also taking place: in arctic regions, birds, foxes, rodents, and other creatures are beginning to molt their dark Summer fur and feathers for a Winter-appropriate white. An adaptation that allows predators to sneak up on their quarry and prey to hide amidst their surroundings, the white coats that these animals develop also help keep them warm in their frigid environments because instead of pigment, the cells in those feathers and hairs are filled with air, which serves as added insulation. Curious as to which animals I'm talking about? Then take a look through this slideshow!
We all know dogs are cute. But dogs reading are even cuter. Here's a collection of pups that have no problem hitting the books — and you might be surprised with what they are reaching for. From the morning paper to popular dramas, these dogs love a good read. Okay, dogs can't really pour over the paper, but that doesn't stop us from imagining what it would be like if they could. Click through for 10 adorable dogs and their favorite reading material of the moment.

We humans will never tire of seeing two very different animals cuddling, nuzzling, or just hanging out. While our species is mostly limited to befriending our own kind, the sky's the limit in the animal kingdom. Their bonds transcend the boundaries that we normally face (language, culture, class, social ranking, etc.), making their friendships more pure and totally worthy of celebrating. No matter the difference in appearance and size, mammals will befriend birds, predators will befriend their prey, and even cats and dogs — the most extreme of arch nemeses — will find their way into each other's arms. Click through for our newest batch of the most unlikely yet sweetest interspecies friendships.
