It should come as no surprise that we love that crazy Japanese cat Maru. His new book i am maru is one of our favorite picks for new Fall pet books. This video of Maru getting cozy with various paper bags is just another reminder of why we adore this very Zen, super-smart, and adorable creature. Enjoy the cuteness!
If you were to stop and go through the quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies weighing down your purse or cluttering up your car cup holder, how much do you think you'd collect? $10? $25? Well, according to the experts at Coinstar, the average amount cashed in for eCertificates and/or gift cards at their coin kiosks is a whopping $56 — twice as much as people think they have. Talk about a nice, unexpected chunk of change as we head into the holiday season (especially since so many of us go over budget on holiday shopping!).
Our advice to you: make every coin count! Take a few minutes to grab all the spare change "jingle-belling" in your purses, pockets, car, and desk drawers, then hit your local Coinstar kiosk, where you can turn the contents of your coin jar into cash or no-fee eCertificates from popular brands, including Amazon, iTunes, Gap, and Starbucks. Click here to find the Coinstar kiosk closest to you.
Now that you know there might be more change lying around than you think, what would you do with those extra pennies this holiday?

If your dogs take a walk on the wild side, perhaps those paws get sandy in the process? While it was mentioned in a past poll on co-sleeping, my friend always washes her dirt-seekingdog's paws before she prances into her home's white carpets.
Since most of you wouldn't go so far as purchasing a paw plunger, do you wipe paws and, if so, what do you use?

With yesterday marking the first official day of fall for the year, we decided that it's time to celebrate some Fall foliage! Bright red, orange, and yellows leaves make a great backdrop to an Autumn photo shoot. Remember just 'cause dogs shouldn't eat them, doesn't mean they don't enjoy frolicking in piles of leaves — check out 10 of my favorite pics and happy Fall!

There's nothing quite like the signature sound of Mariachi music — and it looks like this beluga whale agrees. Watch as this adorable guy sways back and forth to the sounds of the band. Too cute!
