Straight off the runway from Pet Fashion Week in Tokyo, Manfred of Sweden offers you big spenders out there a $570 black lambskin coat for Fido. The red leather stripes and gold accents really set it off, no?

It's horrible. I wouldn't put my dog in that.
1I'm anti-dressing up dogs in ANY circumstances unless they are wearing safety gear for hunting or are a short haired, single-coat dog in the middle of winter and need to be kept warm. But even if I wasn't, $500 for a coat for your DOG is RIDICULOUS.
2The cost is ridiculous but I do think the styling is a little slick...kinda like a motorcycle jacket
3cute, but i wouldn't put my dog in it.
4It's cute, but it's freaking expensive. And I don't think a dog needs a leather jacket to keep warm when a knit sweater is $15 and does the same thing.
5There are absolutely situations where dressing your animal is a good thing- I live in Alaska and people here take dog booties seriously. No dog deserves to have their pads frost-bitten or cut on the ice because their human is embarrassed by misconceptions about dog wear. I know the stereotype is insulting to many people, the idea of a bleached-out, bored housewife putting her teensy dog in a $500 leather coat, but it's not even close to the whole picture. Should people in cold climates not have any dogs besides huskies or malamutes, or should they continue to adopt dogs who need loving homes and put sweaters on them so they can do their business in comfort? Deciding that *any* animal in *any* clothing is wrong for any reason is narrow sighted and you should consider if your opinion is based on real reasons or simply your desire to distance yourself from that aforementioned stereotype.
6my parents have a whippet and even in CA she gets Very cold, Very easily. My parents have many sweaters that she wears and if this jacket wasn't so much money I'd get it! My dog isn't as cold as the whippet, but he's used to HOT desert weather, so when it drop like under 60 he shivers. So why is it wrong for him to wear a sweater.
7And regardless, even if he wasn't cold, he's my dog and if clothes aren't bothering or hurting him, what's the harm? I hate when people talk trash about animals in clothes. It's no one elses business but the owners.
That's really ugly...How can you spoil your dog when forcing him wearing that!
8I bought my Yorkie a jumper from Saks when I was in New York a couple of years ago, she hasn't a clue it's cashmere. Thought I do get strange looks from the dry cleaners, here in the UK people have only started putting their dogs in jumpers ect. in the past few years.
9I think it's ugly. And I don't mind clothes on dogs.
