At first glance, I was completely confused . . . caffeine and dogs definitely don't mix! After a bit more research into Doggy Java, I changed my tune. This is actually a nutritional drink that contains over 20 vitamins and minerals to be served up to a pooch mixed with water in his own cappuccino "cup." The above gift set costs $24.95 and a 30-day supply of the treat is $14.95. The flavored product seems useful for pooches who don't hydrate enough on their own and it won the New Product Award at September's SuperZoo, the national show for pet retailers. It's available online and in stores since December – will you pick some up?

I think this is useful for Fuji. I have to smear peanut butter on a vitamin for him. On his good days, he'll take the vitamin with no problems but when he feels like being a brat, Fuji will spit the vitamin out.
1Eh, seems a bit pricey for a dog...but I might try it out if someone gave it to me!
2I wonder why they called it Doggy Java if it's not a coffee product? Otherwise, could be good idea. My dog is taking supplements right now and it's a huge pain to get him to eat them.
3Sure, why not? I'd have to look at the ingredients and read up on the recommended daily vitamins for dogs, but if it's OK then I'd probably try it.
The coffee cup seems a little gimmicky, but I think they're just trying to appeal to people who love to treat their dogs and share moments w/their dogs. Doggy could enjoy his cup of "coffee" while you enjoy yours in the morning.
4I agree that it would be good for dogs that aren't getting enough to eat when they are sick.
5I buy something similar from petsmart for my dog. Its called missing link and costs about 22 dollars for a a pound. I truly recommend this for all pet owners. They also make this stuff for birds, cats, and horses. Before I started sprinkling this stuff on my dogs food she had a lot of gray hair. After a couple weeks the majority of all her gray hair was gone. Now she has the most energy. She is ten years old and has as much energy as she did when she was a puppy. Pretty Crazy huh ?? I love it. She is so happy all the time now. She also used to cry a lot which I was convinced was her joints hurting her. Now she doesn't cry anymore. I am convinced that this supplement has extended her life.
Here is the manufacturers description:
" In nature, animals consume foods that are whole, raw and fresh, while domestic animals generally have a diet of processed foods only. The Missing Link® was developed to target the nutritional gap between what nature provides and what is available in commercial foods. Formulated with all-natural, human-edible-quality whole foods and food concentrates, The Missing Link® reintroduces unprocessed, nutrient-rich foods into your animal's diet.
The Missing Link® is a dry granular powder, nitrogen flushed and vacuum-packed for freshness to protect its precious nutrients. It is available in 8 oz., 1 lb. and 5 lb. sizes.
For years, veterinarians and pet owners have added The Missing Link® Canine Formula to commercial foods to promote:
* General Health & Well-Being
* Better Digestion
* Healthy Skin & Coat
* Increased Energy
* Quicker Recovery After Surgery or Injury
* Less Shedding
* Reduced Allergies
* Less Scratching & Itching
* Reduced Odor
* Less Joint Stiffness and Pain
AVAILABLE IN 8 oz, 1 lb AND 5 lb SIZES "
6My Yorkie has a vitamin every day with her food, I just break it up and sprinkle it on she has no idea. I give her one for her joints and coat, she slipped a knee when she was young so a "glucosamine" vitamin helps with that. I wouldn't put any in her water as I don't know how much water she actually drinks in a day, so the level of vitamin is diffirent every day.
7Do most people give their dogs a supplement? Mine seem fine with a well balanced dog food and extra boosts like beef shank soup bones
8I think the idea is great! I love to share relaxing and special moments with my dogs. I tried this and my dogs LOVE IT, they love the taste, love the smell and I noticed a WORLD of difference in their over health. I have (5) dogs and they ALL are DoggyJava Lovers....I can't wait for their new favors and more of their Bonescotti Cookies...that are all natural..yummy....Thanks DoggyJava
