Wow, am I punchy in all this nasty weather!? Even though there are no acorns to fall on my head, rain and twigs are enough to make me think the sky is falling. As I'm scratching out a living here, I wanna know how well you recall chicken sayings – match the right phrase to the picture shown above. Are you scared . . . or I should I say chicken? Doing well will definitely give you something to crow about!

I always thought "raising your hackles" was based on when dogs get upset. Of course, I've never actually been around a ticked off chicken
1It's both, king's queen! Hackle "1a: one of the long narrow feathers on the neck or saddle of a bird b: the neck plumage of the domestic fowl 2: a comb or board with long metal teeth for dressing flax, hemp, or jute 3a: erectile hairs along the neck and back especially of a dog

2Yay for more chickens on Pet!! I love chickens and I had no idea that there were so many chicken-inspired idioms. Of course, I am very embarrassed that I only got 4 out 5, but I really debated on question #4.
35/5 Yippee!
I loved gathering the eggs from my grandmother's chickens, when I was a little girl. Not really feeling the need to do that now, though....too worried about stepping in poo!
4king's queen- for your own sake, I hope you never DO piss off a chicken. Especially not a big rooster.
5I missed question number three. So 4/5 for me. I still don't like chickens, the whole fear of birds thing.
6Chickens can be mean! I got 5/5, yay!
74/5...not bad, considering i don't really like chickens...
85/5. I am suprised i got them all since I didn't figure out what I was answering until the second one.
9Love my chickens!! Of course they're all ceramic, wooden, fabric and more pictures than I admit to!
