Gigantic Puppy in Bloom Now!
When I spotted this photo yesterday, I didn't even notice the caption because I was so distracted by what looked like a huge
Chia Pet! A bit of research uncovered the story behind "Puppy" and, even though the
news here was the Spanish Deputy PM and others heading to a socialist party meeting for the general elections, I was a bit more interested in the story behind that giant westie! I've collected photos of the five locations (along with a bit more information) to create this slideshow for you!

Looks like something Jeff Koons would do.
1I love that it's Jeff Koons' dog! There was a terrific documentary done years ago about the first time he built that in the courtyard of a French palace and it was fascinating.
The giant dog was modeled on his dog. You could walk inside it then and it smelled of beautiful flowers.
I had so many arguments with my contemporary art history teacher or whether Koons was good commentator on modern society or a crazy hack. I say good commentator, teacher thought differently until the end of the semester.

3I knew it was a Westie as soon as I saw the pointy ears and round head. It reminds me so much of my own Westie, Milo!
