Even though having pets outside in freezing temps can be dangerous for long periods of times, many pooches enjoy a good pounce in the snow. North didn't make it to Tahoe this holiday weekend, but we hope to get up there soon. He's a tad undecided about the cold stuff; he likes to stay on stomped, semi-solid ground to sniff around the snowbank – unfortunately, he makes it his business to smell it, not to do his business in it. How about your pets?

this was my dog's first winter and he was a little scared the first time he saw snow and didnt want to go outside and ran back in after he peed (LOL) but now he loves it and i have trouble getting him back inside... the snow could be higher than him and he still loves galloping through it. it's so cute.
1The both love to eat it and run through it but then that is it... they want back in or their paws freeze.
2The first snow of the year my pooch always has a spring in his step. He runs around like a maniac in it!
3My Orttie LOVED the snow!
4And my Beagle doesn't mind it. She is used to it
Daisy hates cold. I have to beg her to go potty if it's below 60
5my shiba inu relishes the snow!
6My dog is afraid of so many things that I was worried when we got our first snowfall last week (I'm in SC)...to our surprise, she loved it! She was unsure at first, and then had sooo much fun playing in it...it was so cute!
7My dog hates it. Unless I shovel snow from a little section of the backyard, he won't even go outside to go potty. He'll just hold it forever.
8As I shovel the snow, my kitty sits and watchs outside my door. Just to satisfy kitty curiosity, I put her little kitty paws in the a snow drift. Let's just say she hasn't been so fascinated with snow since then.
9Raja's DEF. a snowdog- being a Siberian Husky, she would stay outside 24/7 if we let her!
10My cat-Big-LOVES the snow. We live in an apartment, but whenever it snows he jumps and rolls and lays down in the snow on the balcony....my sisters cat chandler hates it. He joins Big for a few minutes outside, just to check things out, then comes back inside and snuggles up on the couch.
11My pup loves the snow- we just put on her pink parka and she's off! Also, snowball fights with your dog=good times.
12B-Bop isn't too sure about it. We live in the California desert, so it's not like he gets a chance to see it very often. But the few times we've visited, it's more like "What the heck????" confusion than fun times. I think he hates being cold mostly, so then he gets grumpy haha
13i had a dog when i was younger, and he LOVED it he thought it was the best thing ever! haha.. always wanted to play in it and chase snowballs.. sooo cute!
i hope one day when i get another dog he loves it just as much!
14Ny dog saw snow for the first time this Christmas. it was so cute. He tried to retrieve snowballs like tennis balls and then they would disentagrate in his mouth. He loved it!
15We just adopted Io so I'm not sure if she's had experience with snow. Most likely not, since she was neglected by her former family in Central Valley California (no snow there) so I doubt they took her on any snow trips. She gets fearful of new experiences (busses, elevators) so she might get frightened, but she might not! She is quite unpredictable that way.
16Kona is 3 months old and today was his first real snow experience. He loved it on our walk this morning. I kept telling him that he is part Husky (really he's a schnoodle.)
17mine actually is a snow (white) bunny!!!
18My dog goes crazy after the first big snowfall of the season - it's like Christmas morning to him! He loves to run around in it and he'll even put his head down (while running) and eat some
As long as it isn't yellow, we don't mind.
