Since the last big storm to hit the west coast came along (leaving North shuddering in the corner of his crate), my motherly instincts have definitely kicked in to overdrive, especially when I have to leave him behind and head off to work. Although I'm not totally tech savvy, I think this Panasonic Digital Pet Cam ($100) is perfect to stay connected to the little guy and make sure everything is safe for his day alone. Even if you crate train your pup, being able to peek in to make sure she is a-ok brings peace of mind so you can focus on work!

Not for me. To see my cat happily sleeping and snoring and breaking only for the occasional snack would make me a little jealous!
1Hmm, I wonder why it is so expensive.
2ohhhh it has a movement sensor....
3Because my baby is in a crate while we're at work, I'm ALWAYS worried about him home alone. This might be something I will consider looking into further.
4Ugh, crates.
They are tapping into a market for pet-lovers who didn't think before to look into this, but because something has "pet" in the title it makes them be a better pet parent.
We had security cameras installed a while ago for this reason alone.
5OMG are you serious??
6Ok, not to change the subject, but how effective are crates? I hate the thought of leaving my puppy in a crate all day.
7Hmmm, pretty interesting. But i agree, I'd be jealous to see my kitties sleeping and eating while I'm at work.
