New Puppy Alert! Amanda Bynes

Hooray for the pitter-pattering of little paws – could this teensy pup be a new addition to the family? Amanda Bynes was spotted yesterday at L.A.'s Studio 59 with this adorable tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I know she already has a Blenheim (chestnut red and white) Cavalier, so I wonder if she picked up this (from what I can tell) fella to accompany her dog, Midge?!

I loved checking this pup out close-up! To see a gallery for yourself read more

Cute. I just wish more celebs would RESCUE rather than buy. The dogs Brittney and Paris get are from puppy mills who terribly mistreat the dogs and don't practice proper breeding. So sad. I can only hope Amanda went through a rescue, but it doesn't look like it. Dog's still darn cute. Cavs are making a HUGE comeback in my area.

    Cute puppy!
But I am with kiddylnd on this one.
I hate all the celebs getting little dogs from backyard breeders!
All the little Chis, teacup yorkies, and Daisy type dogs, these can easily be obtained from rescue instead of buying them from people who rarely health test.

I hope more people look into Rescue, but I also hope Amanda enjoys her puppy.

My Lucy is a 12 week old Blenheim CKCS and we get stopped everywhere we go by people who think that she is the cutest puppy that they have ever seen. They are great dogs!

I agree with kiddylnd and simplysorry on this one too. Little dogs are cute and all, but there are SO many of them that come from puppy mills and unscrupulous breeders that don't check for common health problems and genetic problems. It's much more humane to adopt a pup from a shelter or a rescue.

I also get pretty angry at people who cross breed dogs and sell "Maltapoos", "Labradoodles", "Bugs", "Teddy Bears", etc., as if they're purebreds. They charge like $400-500 a pup for dogs that are just basically mutts. It's so ridiculous.

We have 2 Cavs (Blenheim and TriColor) - they are the best dogs, I'll never get a different breed after having Ella and Olive!

I was also wondering where she got her pup, but would rather hope she went to a reputable breeder of CKCS. Spaniels have all sorts of interesting ailments that a good breeder would be in touch with.
I love and have large dogs - 3 purebreds and a rescue, but if I want a puppy of my favorite breed, I will go to a reputable breeder and then get an older rescue as a buddy. Just my notsohumble opinion, it should be Senior pet adoption month every month.
