I consider myself an animal lover through and through. I'm only human, so I'm willing to admit there is one creature I'd rather have a birds' eye view of: the pigeon. One time, as I was happily blogging and sipping my latte, a pigeon flew at my hair inside a coffee shop. It got so close I could feel the wind from its wings! In the bird's defense, I was sitting in front of a glass wall, and it must have been rather startled as everyone gasped and tried to shoo it out.
I was a tad traumatized by the whole situation, and now prefer to watch birds from a safe distance. But, when I found these "Birdseed" shoes from German company, Designklicks, I got flashbacks. As much as I enjoy watching birdwatching (and offering birdseed), I can't see myself sportin' these kicks – if you could, would you?

Ewww no...sorry, I liek birds, but not THAT much.
1Birds totally freak me out well, except for Hummingbirds.
2No way!
3Never! I don't like birds, except Big Bird!
No seriously I don't like them with their little beady eyes and the claw feet. And pigeons get a little too close for comfort. A one-legged pigeon followed me around a bus stop in Munich. Freaked me out!
4Pigeons + St. Mark's Square in Venice = One freaked out me.
I didn't even do the touristy thing by throwing birdseed or whatever, but just walking by that square every day was enough for those things to get all up in your face...and your shoulder, and your feet, and your head, and pretty much wherever else they could hang on to. Yikes.
5too many birds near me always makes me reminiscent of the Hitchcock thriller the birds...
6That's hilarious...I love birds but...
7I don't know. People would wonder why I was letting birds eat my shoes. Plus they'd poop on me. Plus they could accidentally bite. Plus, and more importantly, it might train them to not only refrain from exhibiting caution toward people, but also attack their feets!
8The comments here have made me laugh! All around it seems like a bad idea, birds pecking at my feet and all.
9Ermm...what happens when you run out of birdseed? D'you run out of shoe? Do you have to...reseed?
10I'd wear them on my porch, maybe, lol.
11Those kinda creep me out. Birds don't, just those shoes!
12no way! i love birds but i don't need a slew of them pecking at my feet.
13They're surprisingly not as ridiculous looking as you'd assume, but ugh, why in the world would you want birds pecking at your toes while trying to relax?!? *shudder* I love animals, but this is too much for me.
14coolness!!! hahahah i might wear em
15i wouldn't but i know some bird lovers who would
16ewww NO - why would I want a bird to peck at my toes
17I'm sorry but, no way!
18No way!
19Birds are great - when I was a kid I raised two that had fallen out of the nest. But I think birds pecking at my feet would irk me a bit. And I think Petsugar is being extremely diplomatic about the pigeon incident - I would have totally freaked since i think pigeons are scary and diseased.
20As a crazy bird girl, I'd totally wear those
On special
bird intended outings, though.
21i would definitely not wear theses
22Pigeons are filthy. I like to watch them from a distance...I like how their little heads bob when they walk, seriously cute...but, they really, um, "overdecorate" the outsides of buildings. Also, I have seen The Birds...run Tippi run!
23I might wear them in my backyard, but I wouldn't go out in public wearing them. I LOVE birds. It would be kinda cool to get close to sparrows, since they are so skittish.
