Okay, it's time to get on the ball! My friend's cat ignores all store-bought toys – she loves toilet paper (after she has pulled it off the roll) as well as crumpled paper from the recycle bin (after she has fished it out). So, let's get creative and brainstorm cat toys you can make with products (read: trash or clutter) laying around the house. And think of all the money you'll save!
For this challenge, I want you to share your best homemade cat toy idea with PetSugar. Please send all ideas to PetSugar in a private message (click on the envelope that says "Private Message Me"). I'll feature a few ideas in a later post! Get ready, get set, create!

awe that kitty is tooo freakin cute !! ooo my awe awe awe
1Beyond adorable!
2Awww I love that little kitten! Awwwww I want another hahahaa
3my cat also only likes "found object" toys: circular tab pulls of the milk, hair elastics, and green beans are amoung his Fave.
4My cats fave toy is the German Shepherd. He likes to hide on one side of the couch then when Brisco comes buy, he pounces.
5i want another little kitty. what a cutey! my cat just loves a piece of string or ribbon dangled in front of his face.
6my doggy used to belong to my x-bf he gave him his old flipflop to play with as a pup.... now he thinks all flips are his to chew. bad bad choice he made. : ) i new better (tuting my own horn)
7my cats also enjoy milk rings but hair ties are their favorites.
8my cats favorite toy are the little brushes that come with the compressed powder blushes
9My cats absolutely love balls of tin foil...they love the noise and carry them around the house in their mouths. They seem to enjoy it more than any store-bought toy I bring home.
10styrofoam peanuts, the ring from a milk carton, my scrunchies,
11one of my cats loves pens and pencils... goes crazy for them. she also steals the lids of like.. perfume and body spray, etc... and hides them in my shoes. i never know what i'm going to find when i put my foot in!
12my old cat LOVED tin foil balls too! She would bat them around for hours, even when she was 21 yrs old!
13and as cliche as it sounds, yarn! Once I made a sachet full of catnip then wound yarn around it. She played with that thing FOREVER! and if she ever got close to the center, I could just re-wind it up! I recommend it!
my cats favorite toy is a bendy straw! both of my cats love it so much they play fetch with it.
second is the round tab you pull off the milk carton. they also love bottle caps and any cardboard box.
14My cats love paper bags. They can play with them for hours.
15Nothing better than to give your kitty some Sugar by balling up a piece of recycled tin-foil...it'll keep her puuurfectly occupied.
16My cat's favorite toys are hair rubber bands, milk tabs, and the plastic grasses you use for aquariums are his ultimate favorite.
17My cats both enjoy me knitting - because they chase the dangling yarn and DESTROY! My kitten, however, loves to hide his toys, so I put tiny little toy mice with jingling bells in them tied to a piece of yarn, and toss them around so he can go nuts with it. He also likes to fight with my newspapers, plastic bags, the bathtub, my hands, and my sock-covered-toes.
The best toy? Another cat!
18My one cat loves plastic grocery bags and another likes leftover tissue paper from gifts
19milk rings!
and if you let your cat play with bags, be sure to cut off the handles!!
20I sent this idea in...but my friend gives her cat gift bows. she cuts the loops in the ribbon so that its all colorful and puffed out and her cat LOVES them! Every so often she will bring a new bow home for him to play with.
Oh ...and he loves her featherduster. She calls it his "girlfriend". too funny!
