Kelly O looked impossibly adorable braving the cold with her pug in London over the weekend. I'm not usually one for dressing up pets (other than special circumstances, obvs), but it looks like the little fawn baby needs her hoodie because it's so yucky out! Being a pug owner and a general pet person myself, this can't help but get me excited for PetSugar, coming later this month! Until then do tell — how do you feel about dressing animals up in outfits? If you want to sign up for a reminder for when PetSugar launches just put your email in here:

she looks cute
1I know my roomie's Yorkie HATES wearing little outfits...she gets too hot and uncomfortable. So I'd say nay to wearing outfits...
2I always think it's cute!
3One of my girlfriends dresses her doggie up all the time and he always looks soooo cute (especially when HE is wearing a DRESS!).
OMG---PETsugar...I'm so freaking excited!! I am not a huge fan of small dogs and they are the ones who wear the most outfits but I do dress my golden up in his favorite sports team (ohio states) jersey. He is just too cute in it but he HATES---i've also considered dressing him up for halloween....ok i guess i dont mind when dogs dress up! haha
4True story: I bought matching sparkly tank tops for my two little girls (dogs, obv.). They are about the same size, one is a little slimmer than the other (she's part whippet) so I thought they'd need the same size. I got home, put one tank top on the skinnier one and then when I went to put the tank top on the chubbier one she looked like a sausage with a shirt on. She looked sad that she was chubbier than her sister so I took it off immediately so I didn't give her a complex. The sparkly tank top has been banished.
And yes, I know I'm a weirdo. But I can't wait for PetSugar!!!
5Heck naw!!!! It looks so foolish, I can't stand it!!!
6Hmmm, well my dog loves being dressed up (normally round halloween) as se knows she'll get extra attention.
Can't wait for petsugar too!!
7ehhhhhhhh.. maybe
8So freaking cute. I wish I had a little doggie to dress up, Im thinking about adopting one. And before you PETA people come after me, I don't want a dog just so I can dress it up.
9I can't wait for PetSugar!
10My Boston Terrier is small and has very thin skin so when it's cold out he needs his little hoodie or his sheepskin jacket. He loves anything that keeps him warm!
11I have two golden retrievers and when they were puppies my mom and I tried putting them in Halloween costumes or atlers for Christmas. They absolutely hated them!
I'm not a fan of clothes on animals. They were made with fur and thick skin for cold weather and the snow. I don't see the need for boots or sweaters.
12I can't wait for PetSugar!
13It's going to be awesome!
cute
14I was at the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills on saturday and saw a dog with DYED pink and blue ears....sad sad SAD.
15Sorry, but I do not think its "adorable" at all, its just cruel.
16I'd never do that to any animal. Clothes arent supposed to be for animals.
well my little MinPin needs a jacket in the winter. if i put him in somthing warm he will go and play in the yard but if i dont he wants to stay under a blanket inside.
17I have a mini dachshund that I do put sweaters and coats on but it is out of neccessity he gets really cold in the Fall and Winter. I do have other tee's and even a Marc Jacobs (Bark Jacobs) sweater for him but he prefers his jacket when it is rainy and cold. If he gets warm when he is running around he just takes them off anyway.
18to the people that think its "cruel" to put an animal in a warm jacket...... you obviously dont have a small dog. Some dogs (my dog) need somthing warm if it is cold out. it would be "cruel" to not put him in somthing. i eather dont take him in the cold or put him in a jacket.
19I cannot imagine dressing up my dad's dog, they are German shepherds and that would look so stupid because as far as I'm concerned they are like the most masculine in the dog world and a blue shirt would look so wrong.
20My puppy is 10 weeks old and I have yet to try putting any clothing items on her...when the Minnesota winter kicks in though it'll definitely be necessary that she have some sort of coat on when outdoors.
21I am a teacher and considering the fact that my kids need books/binders/pencils etc...... I think that money could go to a better cause. I mean, COME ON!!
22I dress up my dogs
23I never dress up my dog. It just looks silly to me.
24That's so cute how they match !
25pshhh. tell me they aren't adorable:
One of my BFFs, Traci and Lil Monk:
My minpin, Harley:
26cold and rainy. But I dont' dress mine up they have enough fur
27It's lame and sad that people have so much money they can waste it on animals this way. They should be donating that money so real homeless children can afford new clothes or food. It's just sad, people pretending that this animals is a person. Just pathetic.
28I think dressing a dog out of necessity is OK (when it's cold). Obviously I'm OK with it. Look at my avatar!
29I pick other,cos i don't really care.
30I think dressing up animals is totally ridiculous. They are not babies!
31Do you ever see how embarrassed dogs look when they're dressed up? They aren't children, hate to break it to ya!
32I'm not for dressing dogs up unless its really cold and they need an extra layer, plus they hate it.
33lol
34I have to dress up my pug. When I first got him, in winter, I took him into my vet and she told me, specifically, that pugs have a hard time regulating their body temperature. She said in the cold/rainy months when he is outside, he should be wearing just an extra layer to help keep his body heat close to his body. In the summer, when it is hot, I have to wet him down with cold water before we take a long walk. I don't blame Kelly for doing that - in fact, I bet the vet told her too.
My little Dwightum had a sweatshirt in red, just like that, when he was an infant puppy like hers. I think it can actually be pretty damn cute.
35just weird; I can see it if it is really cold outside (dog boots look like a good idea in the snow) but otherwise - it looks silly
36Brewster, my Boston Terrier gets so cold in the winter that he actually waits at the door until we put his fleece jacket on before doing his business outside. Other than for warmth in the winter, we don't put "outfits" on him.
37Yay! I can't wait for PetSugar!!!!!!!
I try to dress up my kitties in costumes for Halloween but they hate it. My Greyhound on the hand, has to have a coat on in the winter time....they only have 1% body fat!!!
38My dog has short hair and doesn't really grow a winter layer like cold weather dogs do. When it's 10 degrees or colder outside, he needs a sweater to keep from getting frostbite on his walks. He also likes his sweater because putting it on means that he's going out!
39It may look cute, but it doesn't seem to make the animals very happy. I always thought it was a bit ridiculous to dress animals in people clothing, but thanks Lovaajn for your post. I didn't know some dogs/cats might need clothing for health reasons.
There was a lady in my apartment complex that walked her cat. Louis Vuitton leash and a mini-fur coat. In Texas. I was the silliest thing I had ever seen, but apparently it was a rare cat who didn't shed (not a sphinx; it had short fur) and the girl said it had to keep warm (when it was 100 degrees outside). Anyway, the whole thing put me a bit off clothing animals.
I would need a HAZMAT suit to get any clothing on my cat and walk her on a leash. And I'm pretty sure she'd ride on top of my head, having clawed her way up there. Hmmm, maybe I should go for armor instead. Steel vs cat claws.
40I have one dress for my dog... she doesn't like putting it on.. but she doesn't mind once it's on. I don't think it's cruel.. since when does a soft material so torturous to anything or anyone? Do what you want.. it's your dog... p.s.. my dog HATES her shiny pink boots.. they're cute.. and it's funny to watch her dance.. but I don't leave them on her.
41I find it so random that all through out the ages people got it wrong, by not dressing their pets.
42HE is awful cute!
43I am against dressing up animals.
44i think it's mean to put animals in clothing UNLESS it's really cold out or raining, then i can see a jacket/rain coat on a dog.
45its only ok once in a while for a special occassion or holiday, for everyday, please, get a grip!
46my yorkie loves his little outfits. you can always see a change in his walk and his attitude when he gets one on.
47People who dress up thier dogs frighten me. there is just something a bit *off* about it, they are pets not children and evolution gave them permanent clothes.
48Some of these mangy little beasts have nicer outfits than I do ... LMFAO !!! And, there is something to be said when your dog is dresser than you ... These two seem to be dressed alike-Homeless look !!!!
Aaarrrrgggghhhh !!
49holy cow that is cute.
i only put sweaters on my chihuahuas when they are shivering from the cold. i'm not really all about dressing them up for fun though.
