Umm, try telling North that "petting is passé!" I know it's sweet to treat a pet to a massage and I definitely liked Maryjean's tips on different tempos and the need to speak to a pet but, that's not where the video magic (mystery?) really comes in. When she started singing, I wondered what my dog would do if I crooned him a tune. I'm certainly no songstress so, if he could cover his ears, he probably would — do you create songs for pets swapping in their name for the normal lyrics?

Yes & I do...
1Haha. I definitely do. I make up little songs and sing them to my dog, Delilah. It certainly amuses me, if not her. =)
2Yes, I like to sing Frank Sinatra to my dog. I don't think he appreciates it
3For sure! My pigeon loves when I sing, she coos along and puts on a big dance display for me (especially if I participate in the head-bobbing and circle-turning lol).
Our cat & dog both think that Oh Yeah by Yello means "time to have a treat." It started one day at the end of Ferris Bueller so now we just sing it when it's cookie time & they both come running.
Pretty much all my pets have theme songs, too, and I have yet to meet a dog that doesn't like the tune of Camptown Races with the words "Who's the cutest girl in the world? Maggie, Maggie" (but, y'know, their own name)
4I also massage my dog all the time, he loves it
5i made up a whole song for my guinea pigs.
6raynor gets lots of songs.
I sing to my babies all the time.
7I've sung to my dog. I don't think she likes it, but I can't carry a tune so I don't blame her
8yes! i sing funny cute little songs to my dog all the time!
9I've sang to all my pets, and each one had their own theme songs (song just for them). My rottie loved "Blackbird" by the Beatles, my last mix doggie Bunny loved when I sang "My Bunny lies over the ocean" (to the tune of my bonnie lies of the ocean).
10I'm constantly swithing out my dog's name in songs and singing original songs I make up for him.
