On Friday, Martha Stewart twittered about her neighbors' newest pet: a baby Camel! Born last Thursday, this little guy can weigh around 80 pounds at birth, so I hope the proud owners have plenty of space for them to roam (and from the looks of the picture, I'd say they do).
Although camels are generally found in desert climates, this lucky guy gets to call Connecticut home for now. I've seen some strange pets in my day, from monkeys to pot bellied piggies, but never a camel! What's the strangest pet you've ever seen?

A camel?! That is strange.
1When I was a kid, we had a racoon, and a ground hog, but not at the same time.
Def a pot bellied pig. One of our neighbors has one and he regularly takes him for outings in the park. We ran into him one day when we were walking our dog and the look on my dog's face was all "Dude - what the heck happened to that guy?!" She gave the pig a rather wide berth when she went around him.

3I had a baby squirrel. My dog found it in our basement closet (no teeth and hadn't opened its eyes yet it was so young). I raised him for about 6 months until I could find a proper wildlife rehabilitator. He was dropper feed every few hours for the first two months while he was growing teeth. So affectionate and sweet and cute. he liked to sleep on my head and touch my nose at 5am when he was hungry/wanted to play.
4I worked for a dog boarding facility and the owners adopted a llama from an area farm after the farm was busted for mistreating their animals. They named her Kahlua because of her coloring (and because the owner said she needed a drink after all it took to get Kahlua out of there!)
5At one point I had Madagascar hissing cockroaches.
