my dad's always wanted a bulldog named 'Cheese' or 'Crisco'
LOVE! *snort snort*
I want one so badly!
my main exposure to bulldogs has been rob & big then fantasy factory. meaty and beefy are so adorable.
I know I want a low-key snuggly dog... I want a bulldog.
Eek! I have a bulldog but I guess I don't know enough about the breed! Chester loves me anyway!
I have an English bulldog, but the official name is a English bulldog, not just bulldog. Since they are the descendants of the old English bulldog. Or at least, that's what the official name is here in Europe. Furthermore, they don't have a problem with cold weather, but they can die from extreme heat. So I got these 2 questions false...But apparently I have a different perspective............
Proud mom of a 3yr old english bulldog. Not just a bulldog as question #1 tells you. I'm looking up his AKC paper work tonight to see what that says.
Proud mommy of a 10 month old English Bulldog. She loves to cuddle- and doesnt mind the cold..heat is def. not good for her! I've never read anything about cold. And i'm going to search for her AKC papers I feel like they say English Bulldog. Yet I also got 1 & 2 wrong. Oh well I don't think Ocho will mind. Shes the best dog ever...though shes a lot of work! But well worth it for serious snuggle time!
Proud owner of four Bulldogs, just like potatoe chips we couldn't stop at just one. We love them all and can't imagine life without Bulldogs.
Seems like all the English Bulldog owners got question 1 & 2 wrong...Pretty sure we're right...
Obviously all the bulldog owners that got the "english bulldog or just bulldog" question wrong do not professionally show thier bulldogs. Every breeder, exhibitor and registered AKC owner should know the breed is recognized as just plain bulldog. There is only one type of bulldog that is registered with the AKC and that is the one that everybody refers to as the English Bulldog. Most "pet quality" owners are not aware because they do not participate in AKC dog shows otherwise the owners would be very educated on that fact and the other fact about "cold" and bulldogs as well. The bulldogs do not have a thick coat and therefore can be sensitive to very cold weather. The heat is a concern because of their short snouts. Try googling "bulldog standard" or AKC standard Bulldog and you will find very useful and helpful information that every bulldog owner should live by. Another great question to ask yourself....what ingrediants should a bulldog NOT have in their food?
