My pups LOVE swimming. Nothing makes them happier than hanging out near the river on a warm summer day, someone tossing a tennis ball into the water for them to fetch. The older one, Sassy, looks hilarious when she swims because her tail sticks straight up out
of the water!
No way! I have a dachshund mix who doesn't even pause when running towards the river. She goes right in which was kinda surprising because most dachshunds hate water, it must be the bijon in
her...
the first thing we did with our pups was to toss them into the pool and teach them where the stairs were. so, in case they fell in while we weren't watching they could find their way out and
not drown.
Both of my dogs are terrified of water! Every summer we put both of them in the pool and guide them to swim towards a set of the stairs in case they ever fall in. So for about a month after
they hug the wall each time we let them out back and get this haunted look if you speak to them from the pool area !
my guys love the water so I do, though sometimes I wish they didn't love it so much, like when its yucky out and they go find the river to swim in and then make a mess of my house!

my big shepherd mix is terrified of the water- so he stays far away from my parents' pool and the river. what a big baby!

2I've got a Lab, so he practically lives in the water!

8I have cats. They freak out when even a little water touches them.
My sister's huskies love going swimming in the summer. It's a good way for them to cool off.
9To me, my animals are my kids, so if there was open water somewhere, I would be there watching my "kids" like a hawk.
